Droid Bionic coming in September

He didn't mention the day so nothing official saying 9/1 is it. Could be end of september for all we know.

Well thats lame. I am so sick of this damn blackberry. I really don't know if I can wait until september (yeah yeah I'm just being bloody impatient and I admit it so move on from that) especially since if I do I'm going to be wondering if I should wait for the galaxy s II or nexus prime or whatever else is next...

If I burn my upgrade now whats the best option? The charge? droid 3? Dinc 2? I really want 4G but I'm not sure I *need* it, I'm around wifi plenty... blah :(
 
im so mad about this... at least it gives me time to save up and figure out whether i want a sgs2, bionic, or prime....
 
There will obviously be *****ing and its natural to be disappointed, but I'm jacked that there's finally SOMETHING concrete.

This phone will still kick ass, now I have a month to save for accessories. :p
 
It may not be the news you all wanted to hear, but at least it's SOMETHING you can hang your hats on. All the back and forth has been making people nuts lately.
 
So, how does this affect peoples decision between nexus and bionic now that it is now confirmed for Sept with a rumored Oct release for Prime soo close behind? This is the issue I am running into since I can't afford to buy any phone retail.

Charge for 4g our d3 if you don't need 4g

So it is coming! WHOA! ... I think I'll spend August checking for concrete info on the Prime and other phones to come out around the same time or slightly later that haven't been delayed forever. Way to go Moto.

I doubt it'll be ready that soon. I'd expect to see it have the kind of "delays" the bionic did, meaning a lot of speculation that people load hope into and nothing definite for a reasonable amount of time. I'm still on board the Bionic bandwagon.

True but with not being able to upgrade for 2 years I am willing to wait a little longer to make sure I wisely spend my upgrade/money. I said it earlier that if Bionic had released a little bit ago then it would have been a no brainer but the timing is just too close to other big hitters. I just don't have money to toss around on a whim to buy a phone off contract.
 
Is there such a thing as a 2 GHz dual core processor for a phone?

Today I stopped by my local Verizon store to buy earphones. I?ve been in there several times over the last few months. They had a display with a video running. The display had 2 phones X2, D3 with a slot for a 3rd that was empty. The guy told me that the empty slot is for the Bionic and that it was coming the end of August or beginning of September, because the release date was pushed back. Last month he would not confirm anything about a Bionic he just said that their best phones where coming out between now and the end of the year. He showed me the USB slot for the video unit and said the video would be updated to show the bionic when it was available. Actually September might be logical since I bought my original droid in September 2 years ago as soon as it was available.

He showed me cases/covers he has received for the bionic it. His personal phone is a Samsung Charge but he said that he might have to switch over to the bionic because it was going to be 2 GHz dual core processor. I think he is wrong about that?..so has anyone heard anything about a 2 GHz dual core processor for a phone in existence anywhere?
 
Well, bye bye Bionic, off my list now.

I want a new phone in August before I head off to school and even if I decided to wait until Thanksgiving break I would probably get the Prime at this point. I also like how he simply said "September" for a release window, that's a whole month folks...

Wasn't the bionic first rumored to come out in April or may!? I can't see holding out till October only to see the prime delayed month after month.
