I own the extended battery. It does add bulk. Only you can decide if it turns the phone into a brick.

I charge every night. Doesn't effect modern batteries at all, so keep it fully charged to start the day, IMO.

Charge/discharge cycles degrade a battery over time, period. Modern batteries have gotten better, but sorry, they don't have infinite cycles in them. Not trying to be rude, just making sure the proper information is out there for everyone.

The included Moto charger puts out 850 milliampere-hour (mAh). The Bionic extended battery has a capacity of 2760 mAh. Given these numbers we're faced with a simple math problem. Charging the extended battery from a nearly dead state will take .... wait for it .... approximately 3 hours. Using chargers that output greater than 850mAh (like the 1A charger from the Thunderbolt) will charge the battery faster and, of course, the opposite is true if using a charger that outputs less than 850mAh.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

I stand corrected. As I said, I mostly charge mine overnight, and I've never timed it.

I understand your point, and I agree. However, no matter what method you take you're going to get loss from charge cycles. That's the nature of a battery. So many factors go into these type of things which effect performance - depth of discharge, conditions of charge, etc., etc. From a practical perspective, the battery is qualified for WAY more than 2-3 charge cycles per day assuming you're not going from 100% discharge (which would be impressive). I'm hardly advocating constantly charging your phone, but for an average person putting the phone on the charger every night at 25% is not going to cause huge issues with the battery over the life of the phone.

My partner and I both bought Bionics and the Motorola Extended life batteries, and they've been amazing. More than double the runtime. Just my $0.02.

I bought the 4000 battery from ebay. I just got 29 hours with full power. 4G without any data savings activated. The back makes it pretty thick. The extended battery from VZW will get about 8 hours or so.

Does anyone have any ideas for cases/holsters?????

My phone runs WAY longer than 8 hours with the extended battery without any data savings. With data savings (Turns off after 45 minutes for me) my phone runs at least 19 hours per charge with medium usage.
