ordered 6/26. shipped 7/19 should get it 7/20
(now back on topic...) Still no word on shipping... here's hoping that I'll get my notification by lunchtime. I may even break down and just call again to see if it did in fact go out (hence why they've charged the account. Additionally, I hope that the times I called haven't bugged anyone. The CSRs always seem rather cordial on the phone but I just know if the roles were reversed, I'd be going down to spit inside of peoples phones before they shipped like some fast food nightmare (I exaggerate of course; I'd only place a curse on their family that would last through 100 generations of cell phones).
Any other 6/28 (or after) got/getting any word from VZW on shipping?
I was told I wouldn't be charged until the phones shipped. A day or two after my order, I checked my statement and saw Verizon charged my card. Now, of course, I realize nothing shipped and that's been about a week or so.
Since I'm currently on at&t, I can't dial 611 and checking online gives me no information or updates. I've checked the Verizon site and I've seen the availability date move from late July to early August. So, nothing.
Truthfully, I wouldn't care about waiting... but every dropped call on at&t reminds me of what I don't have.![]()
I am not sure if I got lucky, but I ordered online on 7/8 and had the phone on 7/9 with one day shipping. I am surprised that orders made weeks prior to mine still have not shipped. Maybe Verizon felt bad for me since I was a day one adopter of the Storm 1.
See I have NO phone. My phone is so broken I had fun picking it apart with a KA-BAR. So I too cannot call *611. I can however call 1-800-922-0204. I just started getting that same, "you have an order awaiting activation" message.

So I've had an interesting time with the Dinc shipping. I ordered July 2, over the phone, and was told then that it should ship during the first week of August. I was told definitely NOT to expect it before then, and to expect an e-mail from Verizon when it ships. Neither of these things were accurate.![]()
We were house/pet-sitting for my parents for the first three weeks of July, so we weren't at home. We came home to three notices from Fedex that they had tried to deliver a package from Verizon on the 12th, 13th, and 14th. I called Fedex, but they had sent it back to Verizon. Naturally, I was a wee bit upset, because we would have come back to pick up the package if Verizon had let us know the phone was on its way, as promised.
Called Verizon and the girl I spoke with told me that all I could do was order it again and be put back on the waiting list. She also said that the phone was on its way back, but hadn't yet gotten to Verizon. I spoke to a supervisor who said that he would fill out a form when it arrived and just have the same phone shipped back to me. Much better than the original option.It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hopeful that it will arrive in the next few days.
Moral of the story: Don't expect Verizon to send you a shipping confirmation! More importantly, they are shipping faster than they say! Woohoo!

I really can't wait! Between the dirty tracks balls, the crappy Blackberry browser and the at&t disconnects or network congestion I'm ready to "Office Space" my phone.
Plus, my wife has all the same complaints I do. I'm her tech support, so if I'm not having a problem... she is and I'm hearing about it. Typically, she sums it up with, "I want a GOOD phone."
