Yes. I had them hold it at the FedEx facility and picked it up myself.

You'll get a tracking # once your device ships if you ordered online, and as long as you gave them an email if you ordered in store you'll get one too.

The packages need a signature. You can leave a signed note instructing where to leave the package. You can also instruct to leave with a neighbor. You can do this on the first attempt otherwise it's a reattempt the following day or you can take the tag and pick up at the noted nearby facility. Hours of operation are noted on the Tag.

I know it may not be an option for everyone, especially if you already ordered from VZW, but for those who haven't I would definitely suggest checking out your local Best Buy. I perfer their warranty/insurance over the VZW Asurion crap, but you can still get the Asurion crap and decline Best Buy's warranty if you want.

Anyways the first Best Buy I went to yesterday morning had 3 in stock and I got mine. Obviously results will vary and unfuranately you can't check Best Buy's mobile phone stock online, but its definately worth a shot checking out a few of your local stores if you don't feel like waiting.
Also I overheard the guy saying that they had an extra Inc. that was set aside for Mr. Whoever, so it might be worth it to give them a call first.

Overall I was very pleased with the Best Buy experience and I will buy every phone their from now on. And I'm not much of a Best Buy fan at all normally, but anything is better than dealing with VZW.

I checked BB. They give the instant rebate but won't give the NE2 which means existing VZW customers have to pay $199 at BB instead of $149 at VZW.

I was looking at a topic over on Phandroid and with seeing this thread it seems that for the week of May 2-8 people were getting them in roughly in about 5 business days. I can only assume it's going to be around the same wait for us who ordered the week of May 9-15 because it was already saying "Will ship by May 29" for the people who ordered around the 8th.

I hope you're right because I order mine last Thursday (5/13) and haven't gotten any word on shipment. Tomorrow will be the 5th business day for my order.

when i bought the phone in store on saturday they did not offer any insurance for my phone. is that normal? should i take the phone straight to verizon as soon as i recieve it?

I ordered on 5/11, so that makes 6 business days so far and no word....

Just spoke with Verizon. My order was placed on 5/12 and she told me it will ship by 5/28. For whats it worth.

okay. i just got an email from VZW because i asked for a tracking number and it says

"Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless. Your order for the ADR6300VW / HTC DROID INCREDIBLE has been processed and is pending shipment.


We apologize for any inconvenience, due to a high demand; the equipment is scheduled to ship from our warehouse by May 28th.

Once your equipment ships, you should receive a confirmation email with tracking information."

Oh well. Guess I have 9 more days left. The Fedex guy just drove by..so obviously nothing for me

Still Waiting

Just spoke with VCS, they are telling me anything ordered May 10th/11th/12th will ship by 28th. I was told yesterday by a store rep that any orders made on the 10th would ship by 21st. I ordered in the store for what its worth.

I don't think anyone really has a clue. Every time you talk to someone at VZW you get a different date.

Yeah, honestly I think it'd be odd that they ship all these phones out at once on the same day but that's just me.

I'll say it again. If you ordered online and didn't receive a tracking number, don't bother waiting by the door for fed-ex to show up..they aren't.

If you ordered over the phone or in the store, and they didn't ask for an email address or you didn't supply one for tracking number purposes, i am unsure if you will get a tracking number or not.

The simple reality is that if you don't have a tracking number or you call and can't get one, your phone hasn't shipped. Again, that might be different for phone or instore orders, but I have to think they would have tracking for anything they ship.
