Droid Incredible Shipping?

When you call the store and ask for a ship date, as soon as they hear DInc, they won't even look up your account. They just spout whatever the date of the day is. Not very reassuring.

Yeah, honestly I think it'd be odd that they ship all these phones out at once on the same day but that's just me.

I have no idea if that's what's happening but it's possible they are waiting for the same shipping container or something.

My two cents ...

I got a VZW TXT message 5/14 which told me I can upgrade to the Droid Incredible at the promotion price. (NOTE - I am not eligible for an upgrade until Aug 28, 2010) So I jumped on this and called the number to order the phone.

Ordered 5/14 around noon. Called back on my way home from work to check status and right after I hung up I got a confirmation email which told me I will get a second email with tracking info once the phone ships.

I was told by the CSR I ordered the Inc from that it would ship 5/28, and I will have it 5/31. (She also told me it comes with a 16GB card ... )

I called VZW 5/17 to "check up" again and was told the order wasn't processed until 5/17, and it will ship 6/4, and I will have it 6/7. I asked about the 16GB card, and the rep told me it doesn't come with any cards, but the Inc has 16GB built in ... WTF?

I decided not to instigate any further since they don't know what they are talking about concerning the specs of the phone.

Anyway, I ordered mine over the phone on 5/14, it processed 5/17, and I should be getting it 6/1 - 6/7

How can they say it has 16 GB of internal memory? It does not, and to hear these CSRs constantly give bad advice is starting to really annoy me!

Yeah I ordered 5/13 (in store) and haven't heard anything but I wasn't expecting to. The guy who sold me the phone said I'd have to call in a week or so to get a tracking number if it had shipped.

I'll say it again. If you ordered online and didn't receive a tracking number, don't bother waiting by the door for fed-ex to show up..they aren't.

Not entirely the case, I've received devices from overnight shipping online from VZW and didn't get an email notification from them before the phone got here.

I agree. I have talked to a few people today that never received notification that there package shipped at all.

On a side note, the website now says 6/9 to 6/10 which was up from 6/7 earlier in the pm

I was doing great patiently waiting for my Inc ... until I found this thread! LOL
I have been impatient since. I called this morning on my way to work (about 20 mins ago) to check up and the rep told me they are expecting more stock this Saturday, so mine might be shipping this Saturday. "MAYBE"

I wasn't trying to be a di*k with my last post. I know everyone wants their cool new phone and if I had any say you would all have them right now. I have no say however, so thats not going to happen.

I just know what its like to get your hopes up and then be let down. Anything is possible and i suppose you could get your phone today, and the tracking number in an email two days later or never. Could it happen? Sure can!

I think theres a much better chance that you will receive an email with a tracking number, and your phone will show up 2 days later. Thats all i'm saying.

I ordered mine on the 12th, as I have stated before.....so I woke up today to an email from Verizon.... I was so happy thinking it was the tracking number....wrong.... the email today me that my Droid will now ship on the 3rd of June since the payment was processed on the 14th..... shipping just got extended 6 days because they "processed" my payment 2 days after? Which is wrong, since the money was coming out immediately.......this is getting really stupid if you ask me.

Same thing happened to me. Called to purchase on 5/14 (Friday) and found out payment wasn't processed until 5/17 (Monday). This pushed shipping back 1 week.

The reason for my payment delay was due to my order needing approval since I was notified via VZW TXT I could upgrade to the Incredible early. I am not due for an upgrade until Aug 28, 2010, so I am fine with a few days extra. I am stoked that I was able to score the Inc early.

Which brings me to my next point ...
I am sure VZW offering people to upgrade to the Inc early could be one of the many reasons VZW is selling out of the phone quick. VZW is pushing the Inc so hard for some reason.
MY THEORY ... people who are waiting for the VZW-iPhone are getting tired of waiting, so VZW throws a special early upgrade deal to the Inc, which blows the iPhone 3GS out of the water! People upgrade to the Inc becuase they are impatient and see a good deal. SO, when/IF the VZW-iPhone comes out those people who upgraded to the Inc (or any other phone) early while waiting will want the iPhone bad enough, they will end up paying FULL RETAIL price. That way, VZW gets more money!

Before you got this email, did you receive an order number and the processing message? Or did it take a few days... I received an order number within like 10 minutes. Hopefully I don't have that problem happen to me :/

I ordered 5/14 around 12pm, called same day around 5pm to check status. Right after I hung up with the VZW rep, a confirmation email came through on my BB. The email said a second email will be sent with a tracking # once the phone ships. The email didn't give me an eta for shipping though.

Since it appears that Verizon does not send tracking # emails to everyone when their phones are shipped, you can just call Fedex and check whether there is a package being sent to your address. They will happily tell you.

If there is none, that will save you waiting for the Fedex truck or being super paranoid about missing it the next day.

Got my order canceled finally last night. I'm just going to wait till the stores have them in stock. I need the credit on my card more than the phone currently.
