Droid Incredible Shipping?

I feel sort of bad for the Verizon reps that people are getting all nasty with. What you have to remember is that they aren't just there to field calls from angry people waiting on their incredible's. They take calls on a wide array of subjects/topics, and from a wide range of clientelle. (sp?) They are not sales people so why get pissed if they don't know the particular specs or attributes of the phone you ordered? I ordered the phone and will be using it, and I don't know half of what the heck you all are talking about, so just think of the CSR's having to remember not only that phone, but all the phones Verizon sells or sold.

If a rep can't help you, ask for a supervisor, and keep asking for one until you get the information you need. I work in the telecom industry and deal with Verizon (unfortunately) on a daily basis, so I know it's frusterating not getting the info you want, but remember Honey Attracts More Flies Than Vinegar.

We're all in the same boat with the wait, so the choices are to wait, or cancel and wait for something else. You can't make it get here any faster by calling every day. Haha! I have called once to get my ship date because I wasn't told one in the store, but I'm just going to wait until 7/9 when it's supposed to ship to call back. If it hasn't shipped then, then I will be asking to speak to a supervisor to see what they're going to do for me about reniging on a promise.

That being said, I HATE waiting! :p And I agree that Verizon really dropped the ball on this one.

I ordered mine on June 21st and was initially told around Jul 13-15.

Hopefully that stand and I'll get a month to play with it and check out the Droid X in the store to see if I possibly want to switch or not, but my initial impressions are the Incredible all the way.
 
Just made my call to VZW today. Showing it "should" ship tomorrow... said "next day shipping, right?" he replied no 2-3 business days.. That's when I freaked out on him and he said oh no I see it's next day. riiiiiight.

I sent a message to the store rep that sold my my phone in a Verizon corporate store asking about my 6/5 order. Here's here exact reply:

"The system says orders taken on 6/5 or 6/6 should ship 7/9. Sorry about the delay."

I'm in Florida.
 
So I just called and spoke with a rep. He explained in small detail about HTC and the delay. He apologized twice and was pretty easy to deal with. He also said that the phone will be worth the wait. He then leveled me by telling me it would be here by 7/8....uuugghhh

It pisses me off that some 6/6 and 6/7 people have gotten shipping notices but not I who ordered on 6/4 wtf. I just want the shipping notice so I can stop stalking this damn forum and the verizon forum. I am tired of anticipating this phone. By the way I submitted a complaint with the FTC about Verizon's practices regarding the shipping delay. They should have sent us an e-mail and they did not. Anybody else that is interested below is the link. I have never had a problem with Verzion until this situation. They need to understand that they cannot just take our money and screw us over like this. A simple e-mail is all it would take to keep most of us happy instead they just lie lie lie. I suggest others file a complaint as well because their handling of this situation is unacceptable. If my company provided this type of service we would go out of business!

Doesn't make sense why they're quoting a 6/10 order a 7/8 shipping date and a 6/5 order a 7/9 shipping date. Can Verizon just please provide useful info?
 
I do know this. After visiting this site for a week (lurking) when I do get my phone I should be well edjubicated on it.

Just called CS, CSR told me that mine was supposed to ship yesterday, but it has been delayed to possibly 7/9....

I feel like I was hustled for $200..

7/8 is the original ship date shown on the website (and given to me a week after I placed my order) for orders placed 6/10. From following this thread, I think that will only happen if you are lucky and don't catch the 5 or 10 day delay some people have been quoted. Here's to VZW getting caught up by then :)
 
I've been following this thread and several others, but I thought I'd register and let you guys know that I received my shipping notification today (ordered 6/5 online) and that the service is standard overnight, so I should be receiving it tomorrow. I live in Atlanta, so for those of you that live in the southeast, rest assured that the rumored 5-10 day delay doesn't affect all orders down here. This seems consistent with the 1-2 day delay from the ship by date.

Good luck to those of you that haven't gotten it yet. You guys have been great entertainment to pass the past couple of agonizingly slow days.

Just called CSR back to see if I could get overnight shipping, and the lady checked on my order, and she said "hold on on sec, I might can get you some more information", she then came back like 5 min later and said " i am so sorry for the wait, but I just found out that your order has been processed and being shipped as we speak and we are currently just waiting for Fed Ex to give us the tracking #, let me call the warehouse to see what is going on"

I am currently still on hold...

EDIT: OK, she said that its going through the process at the warehouse to be shipped and it will be out with a tracking # by 11 pm tonight
