Droid Incredible Shipping?

I have been lurking this forum for the last week and wanted to let everyone know I ordered 6/4 and had not heard a peep from anyone. I did receive last friday a survey regarding my recent transaction. I have yet to fill out the survey but intend to as soon as my phone arrives. I called CS yesterday and they told me that it should have shipped out 6/25 but they had no idea why it hadn't shipped. They suggested I call back today.

I hadn't seen anything by this afternoon and called *611 and got the magic "you have a device waiting to be activated." I finally got ahold of a CS rep who said nothing had happened and that my device should ship by tomorrow and I told him I got the magic "device waiting to be activated message." He was like oh maybe it did ship and it then took him a good 15 min before he could "find" my tracking information. I didn't dare let him off the phone before I could check to make sure it was a legitimate tracking #. It was and it is scheduled for overnight delivery tomorrow! This was over 4 hours ago and I still have not received any sort of confirmation e-mail and if I check my order status online it still reads that my order is still being processed...so for the rest of you there is hope! :D

This is my first post although I've been stalking the forum for a few days.
I'm being patient for my Incredible, but still keep checking for a tracking number all day long.
How late do they ship the phones? Is there a certain time that its a waste to check for a tracking number? Before I saw this forum, I spoke with a CSR and know I have the 5 day delay (before they announced the supposed 10 day delay).

If they are like some companies, their shipping department gets pallets ready all day long with labels then Fedex shows up near the end of the work day and they do an official upload report and it generates or records the tracking numbers. I received my notice at almost 5:00PM Mountain Time Zone.
Mine appears to be coming from ONTARIO, CA
 
Funny thing I got the shipment email and the delay email today.
The shipment email even has tracking info, so still have some hope!
 
I ordered mine 6/9 in store. Called Friday, which was my estimated ship date to see if they had a tracking number, gave me a number that was not a tracking number, and was rudely handled by a Fed-Ex person on the phone. Went in today to the store and was told it was shipped today, so hopefully I will see it within a day or two.

Now don't take me wrong... But how the hell did you get a 6/9 order (6/30 eta ship date according to the CSR I ordered from in store/the website quoted the same as of that morning) to ship a day earlier than that in a region of the country that has yet to ship most of the 6/4s and 6/5s. I would also like to know who told you that it was going to ship by 6/25 as 6/6s and later all had an ETA past that... I think that there may be a case of miscommunication here. I hope things get sorted out soon because all of these miscommunications I keep seeing on Verizon's end is making me question their customer service and their ability to handle situations.

Hope you don't think that I am trying to attack you huthur, because I'm not. There are just too many damned BS answers and quotes out there from Verizon CSRs and think they just need to get sorted out because people need to know what to expect.

Check the tracking number on fedex.com! If you have a tracking number, it means that it is pretty much 100% "Thunder Cats GOOOOOO!"
 
or maybe a seperate one will go out for people who were supposed to ship after the 28th saying your delay is 10 days lol... sorry, I should be more optimistic. :p

with our luck the people after the 28 will have NO wait period LOL I got the same letter here in Mass. 6/7 buy 6/28 ship no phone, but I can now get accesories for the phone i don't have woo hoo
 
Cool thing is that the $25 they give me will be going towards the $35 restocking fee on july 15th if my store has any Droid X's in stock :)
 
I too received the email with the 25 dollar giftcard notice, screw that no routing number and I'm 6/6. Last night they told me it was shipped and FEDEX didn't update for 24 hours now I have to wait another 7 days and all they can say is here is a gift card to buy more VW crap.....
 
I'm wondering what the whole Order Number being different is about?

Order number is way shorter and different on the little "Delay Email" than what it was on the confirmation email for my order.

Also what is up with the Location Code it gives??
 
OK, thanks for clearing that up--I had a feeling that they were just jacking me around. The phone price is before the $100 rebate, so it is not so bad, but apparently just a standard deal. And I just received an email saying my order is delayed 7 business days and giving a $25 gift card.

I've never been treated so badly as a customer. I didn't know what you VZW folks have been dealing with all these years. Temped to cancel, but I'll wait on the off chance that it ships tomorrow as has twice been promised recently. No pone is worth waiting over a month for.

Good luck! I hope it does (seeing how I am a fellow 6/9 and would love to have it ship tomorrow *crossing fingers*). Sad thing is, in the 6+ years that I have had Verizon, this is the worst thing customer service wise I have ever had with them (note: I have yet to call customer service once over this issue as my ship date was quoted as 6/30 and I never saw a need to call) and it makes me sad to see so many other people having problems as well. I have never had a single bad experience with them until now. And really, I'm not to sure I would call this a bad experience yet seeing how I could still have my phone by the quoted date and the delay isn't even Verizon's fault. I hope that it works out for you (and everyone else for that matter) because Verizon has been such a good TelCo for me/my family/my wife's family/etc etc etc/ for a very long time. Best of luck! Dude I swear if this e-mail I got is legit and my phone *originally 6/25 when ordered, then 6/26, 6/28, and now as late as 7/7* is correct I'm gonna grab the pitchfork outta my garage and ram it up the a$$ of the first verizon employee/Sales person I see. that's so much BS on so many levels it's unacceptable. and now people who ordered 3-4 days after me are getting their phones (no offense to any of you who this may apply to)

Long time reader first time poster. Just want to let everyone know that I recieved an email today with my tracking number and everything saying my phone has been shipped and I should recieve it on the 30th I am a 6/4 order by the way. I am excited but at the same time I am completely expecting something to go wrong or I am expecting Ashton kutcher to pop out of somewhere saying I just got punk'd well anyways here is to hoping it actually shows up. P.s. The storm 1 is the dumbest "smart" phone I've ever owned I am definitely ready for the incredible. The end
 
Yeah I got that email too, its legit.I think if you got that email and you are in that time frame like it says then you are affected(if you havent yet gotten your phone or fedx tracking ticket ), thats just the way I took it to mean .I guess vzw did this to slow down the phone calls asking about the DINC. I like yall want my DINC everything else is alreay here the DINC the only thing late for the party .

PS: I am guessing that the phones sent out after the July 4, holiday ,those will have the other screens . But thats just a guess by me ;)
If you want another opinion of someone who cares try matchmaker.com lol they seem to care,vzw/htc/samsung/fedx/ dont

It pisses me off that some 6/6 and 6/7 people have gotten shipping notices but not I who ordered on 6/4 wtf. I just want the shipping notice so I can stop stalking this damn forum and the verizon forum. I am tired of anticipating this phone. By the way I submitted a complaint with the FTC about Verizon's practices regarding the shipping delay. They should have sent us an e-mail and they did not. Anybody else that is interested below is the link. I have never had a problem with Verzion until this situation. They need to understand that they cannot just take our money and screw us over like this. A simple e-mail is all it would take to keep most of us happy instead they just lie lie lie. I suggest others file a complaint as well because their handling of this situation is unacceptable. If my company provided this type of service we would go out of business!

I am on the same page as you. I am a 6/4 order too and nothing so far as an estimated ship date. I'm so tired of calling everyday and voicing my frustration over this issue just to hear silence on the other end becausebthey have no explanation for the situation that we find ourselves. Maybe your FTC complaint is the reason why VZW is now sending out emails regarding the delay. We will see how accurate this "up tp 7 business day shipping" delay is. I guess that puts me into next week now. At this point it doesn't seem like they have any stock of these phones, at least not in the north east. Mine was due to ship 6/25.
