Droid Incredible Shipping?

I have been lurking here for a week and i just thought i would let the frustrated 6/7ers know

Just called and got a tracking number

Order Date: 6/7 Online
Quoted Ship Date: 6/28
Ship Date: 7/1
Expected Delivery 7/2 by 4:30

shipping from Memphis to Auburn, AL

so you didn't get a tracking # in an email? I am a 6/9er and haven't heard jack, I'm in N. Alabama.

Not yet but i saw a lot of other 6/7 going out today so i decided to call. But from the looks of it the deep south is getting the longest delays.

Started to get exited today reading about all of the shipping going on from as far back as 6/7 all the way to a 6/10-6/11 (I'm a 6/9 myself). Then I thought about it for a second and noticed the trend in all of those orders... All of them are East coast and North East by the looks of it... Still appears to that the North West (where I am) and the South East are in a battle for the longest delays. Last I heard, there are still more than a few 6/5s waiting on shipments up here. Just got a text from Verizon today about a possible 8 day delay on my order... I'm starting to think its going to be a lot later than that...

Congratulations to all of those who got their phones/got shipping notices for their phones today... Sucks to be in a part of the US Verizon seems to care little about in terms of getting this phone out to...

Sooo.. what should I do while I wait for my phone to arrive tomorrow? I have to make a g-mail account right? Anything I can do to speed up the process of setting up the phone so I can play with it?

First thing other than turn it on and activate it? Install App Brain and let it install all 30+ apps I already have lined out

Yeah i'm coming off a storm 1 and before they actually had the comitted apps i never really messed with a lot of apps so i'm completely lost app wise guess i should be trying to look for forums that list a bunch of apps.

I am coming from a Storm 1 as well. There is an app section in the forums here, it's worth a look. As for my most used apps on my BB:S? Google maps and poynt (I am going to really really miss poynt btw. Amazingly good app). Then again, the only other apps I have on the phone are Facebook, Google Voice, Weather Bug and a sudoku game (for the wife). One thing I have been longing for on the Storm was apps. Something Blackberry in general is greatly falling behind in.

Let's not forget that when it comes to apps on the Storm 1 you have to pull the battery after each use to load up the next one.

I HATE my Storm.

Can't wait to get a real smart phone.

Just saw where a 6/8 just got a shipping notification from the Memphis warehouse, Memphis seems to be about 2 days behind in shipments. Hopefully us 6/9ers in the South will get our notifications tomorrow =)

I was born and raised in Memphis: They are taking more breaks. They don't get things done too quickly there.

Haha, I'm jk, I'm picking on them. Actually when I moved to Central Florida I was like, Wow, everyone takes everything to slowly here!

I'm sure they just haven't got as many in as they need or as many as other locations have.

One question, why was someone in PA getting theirs from the location in CA?? That doesn't make sense!

I just realized, I'm on my brother's account. He's in Northern CA. That may explain it... Though it is still illogical, being that there's a West Chester DC.

I received the Verizon email a few days ago about the 7-day shipping delay, $25 gift card yada yada yada, but I was much happier to receive my shipping notification today!

Ordered: 6/8
Ship date: 7/1
Estimated delivery: 7/6 (holiday weekend plus I have 2-day shipping - Indirect, whatever that means)

FWIW, shipped from Ontario, CA, going to small-town Oregon.
