Long time lurker, first time poster, so I'm reaching out and putting my sanity in all of your skilled hands. Here's the problem.
Tonight while killing time between texts with a friend, I decided to clear out my user dictionary (long overdue). The phone was autoselecting my mistakes and it was bugging the crap out of me. Upon selecting the words to delete, I selected to delete them, and the program froze. Two options came up, and before I could read them, I bumped the option on the left (I believe it said force close). My phone then returned to the home screen.
I went into my messages to send a text, but when I selected any box to type in, no keyboard came on the screen. The same with email, facebook, anything.
I gave it some time and did a reset and even did a battery pull later (a first on my Incredible). Everything works fine, except it won't pull up a keyboard. I went back to try to load the user dictionary, but when I click on it, the screen blinks quickly like it is trying to load it, but then it returns to the same Touch Input settings screen.
Please, can any of you point me in the right direction?
Bob
