How do you enter daydream in your situation? Because I enter daydream w/ timely set to dim for night settings, and enter daydream once the screen turns off while charging - and the capacitive buttons stay lit (As a side note, I have auto brightness on and sleep after 30 s). Thanks!

I have a pattern lock on mine, and have it set to the screen off button locks the phone. When I plug in I'll typically pop the screen off and back on (where the pattern to unlock is displayed) and then let it enter daydream. The buttons do not light up.
If I let it enter daydream while unlocked, they stay lit.
Have you tried daydream with anything else?

Has anyone noticed the battery percent is wonky. I plugged my phone in last night and shut it down today eight hours later turned it on and it was at 100% but still showed it was charging a short while later it was not showing it was charging. In a matter of about 15 miniutes the battery went doen 3% just sitting there then a short while later I turned on my phone and it was at 100% and the discharge was very slow as you would expect with this battery. It has done this several times.
Ya any dashclock 'app' i've used (timely, clock, clock plus) keep the lights on. I don't have a pattern lock, so maybe it's a bug with slide unlock. Luckily, it seems Moto is working to fix this...https://forums.motorola.com/posts/6d...=725753#725753
I didn't even know about the two finger swipe for quick settings mine works fine on regular screen and the lock screen which is not actually locked it is just the slide button. When I impliment security pattern it does not work which is what you would expect.
My Droid Maxx continues to drop the bluetooth connection to my car. It consistently drops and reconnects. Unsafe since it requires her intervention to switch to speaker phone. Moto tech support is clueless. They want me to connect to another car before they trouble shoot any further. Now I have to wait until Monday so they can tell me to return it.....
I might just go back to VZW and either exchange or go back to my S4. This issue is a deal breaker.

I don't know if this is a maxx bug or chrome bug. When I open chrome or a new tab I cannot press on the address bar to input an address. I either have to go to the Google homepage bookmark and "search" my website or I have to use the attached Google search bar on the home screens.
Also, does anyone know how to turn off the capacitive button backlight when watching movies ie Netflix or flixster?

Ditto! Level 3 suggested the same thing. I asked, how do I explain to the VZW rep my need to either "borrow" another phone for a while to check out a Motorola software issue, or to swap out my phone f or. Another while I drive around? Seriously?

At seemingly random times a notification will appear from Play Music. It shows as playing unknown title by unknown artist, 0 seconds long, and is not actually playing anything. It can happen even when I haven't been running Play Music for days. I've never inserted headphones on this phone so it can't be auto-launching based on that. There is no Bluetooth connection being made at these times. Weird. Also I can't swipe away the notification, have to hit the little close X on it.
I set mine to a PIN lock and now the buttons go dark using Timely. I don't really want to use a lock, though.
UPDATE:
I switched to a pattern lock, I can live with that. Any of the Daydream modes (not just Timely) work without turning the buttons on now. I set up Daydream to run Timely immediately upon phone going to sleep.
1. OPTIONAL: (I like some background noise to sleep to) Turn on White Noise app (must be set to run in background)
2. Start Timely, turn it to get it in landscape mode. Hold phone in landscape.
3. Connect charge cord or put phone in dock.
4. Turn phone off (you should set security settings to lock phone upon pressing power button if you want this to go faster)
5.Turn the phone back on without unlocking it and Timely/Daydream should come up with buttons off.
Using the default clock (or other default modes) is a good bit more trouble. You have to go into Daydream settings every time and push "Start Now" while the phone is in landscape position, or it will not go into landscape mode later.

After I use a bluetooth speaker for media, none of my notifications work. I disconnect from my speaker and my phone no longer rings. Volume is at max. Have to shut down and restart to get phone to ring and notifications to work.
Anyone notice that if you're in a text message and turn it to landscape and back it activates the uppercase button?

Yes, this weekend it took a tumble and now is very sensitive to being moved. Something must've jostled loose. Verizon is sending a replacement. I didn't think it was that big of a fall, but you never know if it hits at a weird angle. Did you drop yours at any point?
Does anyone have an issue with Assist when driving, specifically when I get a text message after I have it read me the text it seems my phone stays unlocked in my pocket and I have had trouble with "**** dialing" and the camera getting opened. Does anyone know if after you have it read you a text is it supposed to lock again or does anyone know if you can get it to lock again? This might not be a bug but this is where im posting it.
I have lots of issues with Assist driving mode, but most of them are when the phone simply fails to recognize I am driving. It happened yesterday. My wife and I switched driving, so as a passenger I watched the phone. It never switched to driving mode. After a stop I toggled the driving mode on and off - it still wouldn't recognize that I was driving.
At this point Assist driving mode is more driving me crazy than helping me when I am driving.

I gave up on the driving mode long time ago. It would never kick on when it was supposed to.

It is odd. Mine seems to work OK most of the time, but sometimes after being it driving mode for a few minutes it will exit abruptly, and the music stops.
Bluetooth will occasionally drop as well, where it is still registered as connected but transmits nothing.
