Droid razer m not charging

I have had this phone for a few months and it has always worked fine. A couple days ago I plug the charger to my laptop and it didn't recognize it at all, so I plugged it into the wall. When I did this my phone made a noise like someone was popping popcorn then my phone shut off. When it was off it was still making noises. Every time I plug up any charger to the phone it shuts my phone off.

Welcome to Android Central! Yikes, that doesn't sound good. I wonder if the charging port is faulty. If the phone isn't brand new, and if you don't have insurance, you might need to bring it in to a cellphone repair shop.
