I don't know yet if its brand new or not. I have not received mine yet and did not ask. I do know that I have to send the original back though. Would that be something your interested in?

nice! glad to hear it. mine will be a certified like new since it was not within 30 days so I will not be getting a new one just called in. I am not sure if yours will be NIB or if it will be certified like new.

Kind of pissed. I called and they ordered the incredible for me but it was not going to be here until Monday. I called back and said you know what let me go to a store and pick one up. My only phone no landline etc I need a phone. They canceled the order found that they are not backordered anymore but guess what stores don't have them. The guy put in another order for me and said he would next day air it since I wanted to have a phone by this weekend since I will be heading to Minneapolis, MN this weekend. I get the e-mail with the tracking number and guess what? 2 day air. I call in and the rep said there is a form he can fill out but it has to be done before 5 EST, and guess what its 6 EST. He filled it out anyways but I doubt its going to change anything. And I won't find out until tomorrow if it did change anything. Pissed off.

Dude your having some issues but the silver lineing is that you get a dinc out of it. I would happly send you my refubed droid for a dinc

I've read the user reviews on VZW's site of the LG: don't do it. Battery life evidently is total crap. (I was considering it for my daughter, but no way now; I think she'll be getting a Droid II.) A friend likes his Incredible.

Battery life on the LG Ally is actually quite good. I get a day out of it easily and most of the time I stiill hve half my battery left (this is my daily driver take with me everywhere talking/texting phone). Not sire what the reviewers are smoking. This blows the Droid and Droid Incredible out of the water in this regard.

I got a call back and was offered the LG Ally or the Droid Incredible or to wait until I get my refurb. Not sure what to do yet.

Get the Incredible, Verizon's best phone hands down -- but make sure to get a spare or extended life battery. Unless you are in love with stock Android that is otherwise the Ally looks like stock Android in one of it's themes.

That's good to know as my daughter likes its form factor better than the Droid. And I hear the keyboard is good. Maybe people are just running a lot of crap (like Amazon MP3, GPS for Facebook's places, etc) and draining the battery.

In the same boat. Got my refurbished d1 yesterday after ring around the supervisor put it on vibrate tonight at work no vibration when somebody calls!! Gonna call back yet again u guys think I can get a dinc out of it.? This is my 3rd d1

I'm on four working on 5 if I can't find a way to get this bad boy to hold wifi its gone. Tired of being in the middle of doing something and it just drops wifi

The wifi thing has to be a Froyo problem or all of the wifi radios are crapping out at the same time. My wifi just randomly drops out now and sometimes I'll get a "web page can't be found" error page eventhough wifi shows connected. Have to disconnect and reconnect to get it working.

And that's what aggrivates me I know I would have to change phones completely to get wifi to work right plus doesn't seem as if their going to push out another update soon to fix it. Tired of playing this game

welp, looks like Froyo doesn't like any sort of WPA/WPA2 personal security. Changed the router to filter by mac address with no security and the wifi connection has been constant. Gotta love the testers at Verizon.

Unlikely. You might get your upgrade date moved up so you can get the DInc or they may let you upgrade to the D2, but that's very unlikely as long as they have Droids in stock and being resupplied.

I got a Droid X out of a D1. But not only did I get the X I got the charger, docking station, and free screen protectors.
