After the 6.0 update my mom has been experiencing slow charging on her Turbo 2. Last night she left it on the charger and when she woke up it was only at 30 percent. I tried a restart and it did not seem to help. So far it seems to be a software problem since it is right after an update, but there is a chance it could be a hardware problem that came at just the right time. I am thinking of trying a factory reset but I wanted to see if you guys have anything to add before I do so. Thanks in advance.

Try a wipe of the cache partition?

It will not destroy any data or remove any apps but sometimes fixes weird problems like this.
Also, make sure that you are using the charger/cable that came with the phone, to rule out an issue with another charger or cable.

Charging issues with Droid Turbo 2 are a know problem for some folks.

That whole forum is a nightmare to read. Phones sent in for repair that were supposed to be returned in 5 days that are still unrepaired, unreturned, and now will not be returned until May, two months later. Accidental screen damage that is not covered by warranty, because the warranty doesn't cover a dropped phone. (This appears to be the catch 22 of warranties: the screen is warranted not to shatter, and will be replaced if it does; but, if it does break, it could only have broken if it was improperly handled, which isn't covered, so it won't be repaired under warranty.) Phones that don't charge properly. That RMA issue is particularly galling. Okay guys, I have a quick update. Even if the phone is on the charger, it goes down extremely fast. I have tried multiple chargers including the official wall charger and the official car charger. I just tried a cache wipe and it did not seem to help.
This happened to me, as well as a lot of other people. I tried everything folks on here mentioned and they all failed including a factory reset. I finally took my DT2 back to Verizon and they sent me a replacement that did not have Marshmallow loaded on it. Good luck!

I agree. I only posted it to show folks that it's a documented problem. From what I gather from reading many DT2 forums, phones purchased using Moto Maker are more susceptible to quality control issues than phones purchased at the Verizon store. And the Verizon store is more apt to swap your phone out for a new one if one purchased there phone at a store.
This is my first Android phone. And my first Moto phone. I bought it from the Verizon store. Fortunately for me, I haven't had any quality control issues. Not sure if I would purchase another Moto phone. I do like the Moto actions but other than that there is nothing special about this phone that one can't equal/surpass in another phone.
Okay, so apparently it fixed itself. It charged to 100 percent last night, and is currently charging normally.

Mine did that too, but then eventually failed completely. Just keep an eye on it and hopefully you don't have the same issue I had.
It took about 2 weeks total after the update. I tried wiping the cache, factory reset and those seemed to make it worse. It started with my car charger slowing down, then every once in awhile the wall charger would actually drain the battery even though it said it was turbo charging. I would unplug it and plug it back in and it would start charging normally, then one day it wouldn't charge (it still said it was turbo charging but it wasn't).

Mine occured when out of town - battery drained extremely fast, popped it on an official verizon turbo charger - barely gained anything.
Car chargers actually seemed to drain the battery .
I woke one morning to a low battery after charging all night - okay fine, I misplaced it on the verizon wireless charger. Nope. This morning awoke to 25 percent battery. Stuck it on my turbo charger at work, battery kept going down. After a reboot I got it to charge - but reading this message thread doesnt exactly give me a good feeling about this.

Went back to Verizon store today, armed with screen shots of my charging/discharging pattern, and printouts of some of the comments on the 17 page thread on the Motorola forum from folks with the same problem.
VZ rep called Motorola, who denied knowledge of the problem.
Motorola wanted me to send it to them for troubleshooting, leaving me without a phone for five days!
Fortunately, my store rep talked to his supervisor, and was able to order me a new phone.
In the meantime, I went to Best Buy and got a wireless charging pad, which seems to work normally so far.

From my experience, wireless charging is VERY unreliable on my droid turbo 2. Sometimes it charges at an acceptable rate, and sometimes it stays at one percentage for minutes or even hours. I had it stay at 49% and 30% for 45 minutes before. My micro usb port is broken, so this really pisses me off.
I have had my droid 2 for about 6 months. Never had a problem turbo charging it. Did a great job until recently.
I plugged it in a few minutes ago with the turbo charger that came with it. It states that it will be fully charged in 12 hours. That is not turbo charging.
Once fully charged it doesn't stay charged as long as it use to. This is an expensive phone that has to work longer than 6 months. Heck, I am still paying Verizon for the darn thing.

Maybe a battery recalibration might help.
Press the power button until the phone restarts. As it is restarting, plug in the original Turbo charging cord and charge until 100%, and then continue to charge for at least 30 minutes. Might be worth a try.

That doesn't work either. I've restarted it (holding it down for 10 seconds then plugging in the charger) just as it says on the official page but nothing. I haven't let it completely die then charge it from 0-100 with the phone turned off as some have recommended for fear that once it dies I may not be able to charge it back up at all. I've read into this problem for a few days now. Granted, I thought nothing of it when I first noticed the problem (a week ago) because I had thought it was possibly because the Verizon towers nearby were down (I'm in Georgia and got hit with Matthew). A few days later and I was still having the problem. Now I'm here, with my phone taking over 5 hours to go from 50% to 100%. With all the research I've put into this, I'm convinced it has to be the update. There's no other reasonable explanation on as to why everyone's phones are acting up.
