Droid Turbo memory questions

I thought I'd start a conversation on the basics of external memory on the Turbo. Are there any memory sticks with micro USB that I can use without the OTG device? Or will the OTG device be required for all external memory? Do you have any recommendation's? Once I get external memory working and plugged in will the phone recognize the files on the Micro USB the same way my current Razor M sees a memory card? In other words, will my music on the memory stick show up in the music app? And my pictures show up on the gallery?

It should work as you stated and yes I believe they are all otg. I know sandisk has an app in the appstore meant for it. I've read somewhere you need a file manager app that is capable of reading and managing the device, such as the sanddisk one.
