I am on the OTA leak System Version 4.5.588MB810.Verizon.en.US. Is my only option to reset to stock?

So what is the difference between the Deodexed and the Odexed versions? I am on the 4.5.588 leak and am trying to get the upgrade.

I had to delete and re-add my Email home screen icon in both Blur and Launcher Pro. Other than that, no apparent problems.

Everything seems to be working fine for me, the only bug I've found so far (updated late last night), is the signal strength icon isn't working, and thinks my phone is on T Mobile.

no there is a method of updating fromm .588 to .596 just the mydroidworld site but you have to make sure your baseband is a .12

Phone has version 2.3.340.MB810
I had rooted the phone with Z4root and froze some programs. Before the OTA started going on I defrosted the programs and unrooted the phone. It will not install the gingerbread update. It says update failed. I even try to use the instructions posted on here about loading during boot recovery and it failed also. it said assert failed : apply_patch_check ("/system /framework/framework-res.apk"....... Can anyone help me get gingerbread loaded on my phone?

Anyone know how to do a hard reset with gb? When I do the hold the power button and home key....it just brings up the droid with a triangle with the exclamation point...no option to reboot or anything .....please help.... email me @ topherdroidx@gmail.com

Holding those buttons down bring up the triangle which you would then push both vol buttons to bring up stock recovery.

Have you tried this? I have baseband .12P but when I try to update from the odexed files it says it can not be verified. Any ideas?

For what it's worth, I get the same message when I try to update .588 with the deodexed file. Also on the .12P baseband.

Unless you have to do a data wipe no it will not
