Droid X Gingerbread update

Has anyone noticed a faint static coming from the speaker and headphones after the update. It only shows up when there is sound coming from the phone, I don't notice it between songs but during songs or processes that emit sound. You have to listen closely to hear it.

Since the update? Nope. Then again, I haven't tried listening to music since the update.

Prior to the update I gave up on using my DX for a music player because of static via the headset jack using the same headsets that sound perfect on my iPod. I took them to the VZW store to compare, and the demo DX had the same issue, but neither the demo Thunderbolt nor the salescritter's Galaxy S did. To me, this says "hardware issue".

Is anyone else having the icons on their home screens randomly go missing? I have had to re-add like 20 app shortcuts in the last few days and this is getting annoying!

Hey guys. My brother just did the OTA and when it installed and finally booted back up it is SLOW and once you try to open an app the screen goes black but still shows the notification bar. He was stock, non-root before the update.

I also tried to go into recovery and apply the update manually, but the update aborted...any clues or ides?

Did it say why it aborted

Anyone having any issues with it saying your SD card is not supported...or something similar to that? My friend did the update yesterday and he is getting that error message in his notification bar now.

I got a similar error from Launcher Pro after updating to GB, when I tried to restore my LP settings from a backup made prior to the update. But I was able to save a new settings backup with no problem and then read back in the new backup.

I really need someone's help. My phone is rooted but I'm still running the Verizon Froyo 2.2.1. My friend rooted it for me so I'm not familiar with that process. The GB update got pushed to my phone. I tried to install but it stopped 1/4th into it. With me being rooted do I have to do whatever this sbf I keep reading about in order to get GB on my phone? Anyone's help would be appreciated!

Can you share how to get back to stock? I'm on a leaked version of GB and have no clue how to get back. Appreciate the help!

You have to sbf back. Search the forums for the X sbf file then download RSD light and sbf. There are several step by step instructions on this within the forums

You can usually change how often individual applications sync if that's what they do. I would look in the settings for the application.

I have everything off and still am the same way. I lost the battery life by 5-7 hours

It's a common problem and requires a data wipe to fix.
