Droid x or samsung fascinate or R2D2 Droid 2

Ok, here is my situation. I have friends that would like to trade their phones with me. One has a brand new Samsung Fascinate and the other has a brand new R2D2 Droid 2.

I love my X but kind of interested in a change. I need some advice from everyone out there on which phone to consider.

The fascinate screen is awesome.

I am also a HUGE Star Wars fan and the other would be cool too.

Please help! Thank you.

Keep the X.

Just root it and run a custom ROM with a nice theme. Then change the ROM and/or theme every couple months.

Ok so here is my thought, unless you need a keyboard, the D2 is kind of a little to small and the screen isnt as gorgeous as the fascinate..... and the R2D2 is just a paint job, you can have that done at a local airbrush place. ive said it before , if that phone had lights and a spinning top and legs that popped out to prop it up like a real R2D2, i would be all over that, but a paint job,,keep it moto and george lucas.

Personally I would go for the phone that I liked best. Only you know what you do and don't like about the phones in question, you apparently have access to all three, and have a much better idea of what you use the phone for than I do.

Of course, I could also post a question on a Droid X forum which will skew the results towards keeping my own phone and provide a third party reason why I have to turn down my friends

It depends on what you like. Of course ill say the X. I would at least hold on to the X till next year and see what phones come out.

I actually found a zip with all the boot animations, wallpapers, and apps that the R2D2 has on it. I have it on my x now.

I love the brilliant screen of the Fascinate.

Well first off it kept rebooting itself, the interface i felt had alot of lag. i mean it was quick at processing after the UI , but the UI is where i spent most of my time. between looking at widgets and what not.

At first i got the fascinate just to show off the screen to my family / friends because i develop OLED technology. But after using it i couldnt go back to the DX. it was just alot smoother and when using them day to day its hard to look at the DX screen after using the SAMOLED screen right next to it. just made the DX screen dull and lifeless in comparison.

I love the Fascinate it just feel so much better in my hand and moves with a little more fluidity. Even with only android 2.1 i am happier with it than the DX.. But still DX is a great phone. just not for me.

well im one of the friends who want to trade(the one with the week old fascinate and extras) and i wanna trade jsut cause i get bored with phones and i like how the X is a little thicker than my fascinate.....

well, I decided to go with the Samsung Fascinate in the end.
