Droid X pre-order from Best Buy

Does Best Buy have the actual device in the store to mess around with? I'd like to atleast test it and see how it runs before I lay down 600 bucks even though Ill probably still get it either way. Just be nice to get a feel for it. See if theres any sort of choppiness or lag or any sort since Ive read some reviews that indicate that there is a little. However, those are just peoples opinions. Id like to test it myself.

Oh, and by the way. How is Best Buys return policy? Any different then verizons?

Like I said, I went through hell an back with Verizon and my Incredible. Infact, its been over my 30 day month warranty and still having issues with them. Pain in the ass

Not sure how many people know this but Best Buy will price match. Bestbuy always marks up their phones when buying full retail. All you have to do is bring in the listing price from Verizon and best buy will honor it. I Did that last year when I bought the HTC hero for Sprint. I brought in the Sprint price of 429 and best buy honored it even tho they listed it at 599 . Just FYI. Thought I might share. I am switching from Sprint and the EVO for the Droid

Don't know for sure but normally it is a hundred it so cheaper. I would bet 449 or 499 full price. Still better then 599 from best buy.

Got one preordered yesterday. I switched from an iphone 3gs. Super excited here, I bought a droid for $50, and they will let me return the droid for the droid x on the 15th. I have to say I love these devices, huge improvement over the iphone, even ios4

How much are they charging for the Pre-order at best buy?

And can someone for the love of god whos been to Best buy who has pre-ordered tell me if they have the device there to test out on the floor? Id like to test it out before I lay down the money.

$50 to preorder, no test models yet. I think they may have them after the 28th though!

Whats is best buys replacement policy? I know with verizon you can just call and they next day you a new phone and you just ship back the old one no questions asked.

The ETF won't apply to you because you are not terminating your contract, simply changing the phone, you'll change the esn registered with your number and activate the phone and thats it. I've gone through probably 5+ (different model) phones in the past 9 months, no issues.

The ETF only applies when you cancel your line.

Pre-Ordered on Sunday. Very quick easy painless. 50 bux is all you need. Did they give everybody else a giftcard? I figured they do this cause they need to sell goods with a purchase so thats what i am thinking this is.

The gift card is the deposit. You can use it toward the phone purchase or whatever you want.

I pre ordered mine today. I was the first in my local BB. They didn't know about it until I ask the guy about pre ordering the Droid X. He checked the computer and said I guess we are. He told the rest of the staff about it and he told me I started some excitement in the store, so him and I both were excited.

I went back to BB to double check my pre order form just to make sure. I was the very first, not it looked like about 10-15 more orders were there. I asked the girl when did they think we'd be able to pick up our babies. She said on the 15th and that it looks like they will have an appointment system again, will see.

Well i'm glad i came across this thread... I pre-ordered on the 26th but from what you guys are saying I won't be able to use my early upgrade! That sucks! For the guys that were asking about the early upgrades you have to have been under contract for one year plus have had 3 consecutive months of a 59.99 plan or higher to be eligible. Anyone heard if Verizon is going to have a pre-order?

Spidey, a friend of my works at the Verizon call center near me and she said I should be able to use my Annual Upgrade, said it should be about $200 for it as well, so we'll see..my 2 yr isnt up until July 4th, 2011.

Pre-ordered at BB yesterday, had to do the $50 gift card. They didn't ask me about the upgrade or anything. I may have to go back and make sure their isn't any issue. VZM store said they were not taking any pre-orders on the X and mentioned that I should go to BB. I will find out tomorrow.

I was the second pre-order the first day they started. They also told me that there was going to be appointments. They'll call me with an appointment time and that's when I'm suppose to go in take care of everything. Never bought a phone at Best Buy so it's all new to me.
