Congrats! I ordered on 8/5 and still no shipping notification. Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday! One of my good friends is coming to visit on Tuesday and I would love to have the DX to show off in his face since he's an Apple fanboy.

I ordered mine on 8/6. I was told a delivery date of 8/28. Never received an email or anything, but it showed up at my doorstep the morning of 8/11 via Fed-Ex. Needless to say I was very happy!

I ordered on the 13th. The website says "Ship by 8/28" when placing an order. Other than that I haven't heard anything. I really hope I don't have to wait two weeks. But at least it's on the way.

I had some time to kill and so I called Verizon Customer Care just to ask on a status of my phone and it turns out it shipped last Thursday. It seems pretty common that everyone is getting the shipping notification the day their phone arrives. Anyway, it ships from Westchester, PA and will be arriving at my doorstep this coming Tuesday! Woohoo!

Ordered mine on the 6th and still haven't heard anything from VZW. I keep checking my "Order Status" but it just keeps saying that there isnt any order. After reading all of this, and seeing the average time is 5-7 business days, hopefully it comes in tomorrow or Tuesday. I hope...

Got another email this morning. This one called "Verizon Wireless Internet Order Update". I guess I got this because tracking info is now available. The X is just a stones throw from where I live now. I cant imagine it taking another two days to get to me . . . .

I'm curious if they're giving priority to new subscribers. I know Sprint does this on a regular basis with popular phones. Are some of the folks having problems getting theirs in a timely fasion upgrading?

New subscriber here - I called and ordered the phone and it was here literally the next day. This was earlier this month.

Meanwhile my friend who has had an eris for a very long time is still waiting for his :/.

I tried to get a Droid X from Verizon directly and was told its going to be two to three weeks. I went to Amazon and got it there. I ordered it on Saturday and its been shipped and I'll have it in a day or two. I'd recommend going through amazon if you want it quicker, that and there's no rebate to deal with, plus its cheaper by $20.

I ordered mine on Friday, Verizon gave me the drop dead date of the 30th. I'm a bit relieved to see that I may not have to wait until then to get it. I don't think I've ever been this excited for a new phone, although, being on a feature phone for the past year and a half, I'd take about anything else at this point.

When it was announced I was about a month from being able to order it with the NE2 discount. It was hard to hold out knowing that the ship date kept getting pushed back. Still 3 weeks is worth the $50 that would only be $30 next time it rolls around. Probably won't hit it again though, learned my lesson with the Storm 1 I am replacing. I am never going to sit on a phone for that long. Annual upgrades from me from this point on.

Now its time for the count down. Considering I am on a 10 year old account that was previously part of an account that goes back at least a decade before it, I am pretty sure I am one of the last in line. Guessing around the 25th or 28th.
