Just read on another Android board that a dude who ordered his on the 14th got a shipment email today saying it'll be there tomorrow. I just don't get it. It's like a cruel joke.

I ordered mine the 10th. No email yet.
I'm a new customer and live in Austin. I was hoping to get it by this weekend, but it's look more like early next week (25th was the latest delivery date when I ordered).

i ordered mine on the 15th..i'm hoping and praying that it'll be here before the 30th...
Upstate NY, ordered on the 12th, no confirmation E-Mail, but the funds did withdraw from my bank account :-/

Ordered 3 days after me and already got the shipment email. I'm trying really hard not to lose my temper!
I live in PA and I ordered on the 9th, and I still haven't received any shipment information. Don't believe the east coast bias. Though it does seem like people in NY are getting theirs.

You guys might want to take an anger management course. Were you ok with the shipping date they gave you when you ordered it? If so then does it really matter if you get it by the that date but someone else got it quicker. You probably can walk into some stores now and pick it up if you wanted to.

Ordered New Every Two upgrade Droid X by internet, August 9. I live in rural southern Illinois.
Received shipping confirmation and tracking number today, August 19. Phone will be here tomorrow, August 20.

hi, everyone. i ordered my droid x online a couple days ago. it said will be shipped by august 31. i called customer service yesterday to ask if the 31st was the outside date and might it arrive earlier? the nice lady was firm that it would ship no later than august 31 and it could come earlier. made me happy. would love to have it sooner, but i knew what i was getting into when i ordered it.
It matters if I order it and someone who orders it a few days later gets it before me. That should not happen. It's unacceptable. It should be first come first serve.
Anyway I got my email, should have it tomorrow but I'm still not happy with how they've handled this. There are people who ordered before me that still have nothing.
If any one cares, the VZW site shows the X shipping on 9/6 now. I am trying to decide if I want one, but my local store only has a display, and it has a leash stuck to the back if it, so I can't really tell how it feels to hold. Maybe they will get one before Christmas.
I don't know how it works, but three Wal-Marts had them in stock. However since I had placed an order online, they couldn't just give me the phone and cancel the order. (Because, I assume, it was through VWZ and not Wally World.)
Look I am not going to state who deserves an item over another. But you don't know anything about how they are handling this. All I know is your talking about taking a very bad emotional level over an electronic device that is coming well before the estimated ship date.
Its childish. Like I said you could have gone into a store, BB, Walmart, Costco and so on and gotten a new Droid X weeks ago if time was an issue. Instead you signed up for a delivery date that Verizon met. You should be happy.

Trust me, waiting for a phone is a terrible thing, especially when Verizon tells you a ship date and everyone else has been getting them earlier. Just hang in there.
