Droid X Shipping on August 23!

I ordered a pre-owned DX and it's on the truck right now! I was lucky to get one before they sold out, and it is indeed overnight delivery; one other androidcentral user said his looked and felt brand new! Now if only I had a time machine to get through these next four hours at work...

Pre-owned DX should be fine. In theory, as a refurb they've been repaired and gone over thoroughly by a tech to make sure their issues have been properly corrected. It should be a far more rigorous inspection than new ones get right off the assembly line.

All you guys/gals just getting your X's now...please wait 3 or 4 days before you start complaining about the battery life. As much as they say there is no battery conditioning, I call BS. I've had two Xs, two D2s, two D1s and all of them progressively improved as time went on as far as battery life. Sure, you play with it less and less as time goes on as well, but the battery definitely improves. So just be patient and give it time!

It's at 80% and I'll let it charge for a while before I activate it.

good to hear, you have been through hell.

mine is suppose to show up Tuesday, I'll be in DC, will get a chance to play with it when I get home on Friday. Another week with my BB coming up.

Well I ordered y DX on 8-27 and I just got my shipping info. Fedex has listed this as standard overnight but has a projected delivery date of 9-7 by 3PM. What am I missing here? To me overnight would be sometime tomorrow. Any help out there? Like everyone else out there the anticipation is KILLING ME!!!!

Umm...unless they pay for Saturday delivery, overnight means next business day. Always has, always will.

Well, I sort of lost confidence in the third party retailer that has had me on their waiting list for about 2 weeks. They still don't know when they'll get their next shipment. So, I ordered online today, 9/3. I'm in Muskegon, Michigan. I'll try to remember to post when I know more. Currently shows an expected ship date of 9/17.

Quick remark on those just receiving their phones... check the stickers.... mine had red x's on them so this one is getting replaced.the gal i talked to mentioned i was lucky i paid attention so no one would think it was a result of misuse. Still love the phone, just getting a replacement.

So I've been lurking on this thread, hoping to get some idea when my X is coming. And then I get the ship notice today. Woo hoo! Only bad part is that I have to wait until Tuesday because of Labor Day.

Just got my x it's awesome, so much better than the Droid 2. Well for my preference anyways. I really like the physical buttons. The noise they make reminds me of my hp finance calculator that I use so much.

Ok well i read all 60+ pages and im curious if i missed it or what but where are you guys finding the information to find out the order status? Also where do you go to look it up on the Verizon website? ive looked all over my receipts and cant see any "order numbers" I have an order location and order type on the top of the rebate form but i dont see anything else on the other two.
