droidmod 1.0

Wow. Nice. Wish I had seen that before I flashed the ROM. I don't feel like reflashing, but if I decide to for any other reason, I'll install this package instead. I may reflash to go back to the stock Droid 2.01 alarm clock/dock mode (I like the analog clock with the green Android guy), so I could kill two birds with one stone as they say.

dang, I stole.... errr... ummm... downloaded almost all of my music and don't have the album name attached to the file and album art has problems finding art for a track labeled "wicked version of no woman no cry - live by Bob the man" rather than Bob Marley, No Woman No cry.

New member to the forums. Been coming here for alot of info but never really had a question. But now I rooted with the droidmod 1.0 and it was super easy and its great! Very happy so far. But anyway, my question is, on the live wallpapers on the nexus wallpaper and the water one there is no touch sensitivity. Nothing happens when touching the screen...Isnt it supposed to do something or with this mod, does that not do anything? Thanks for any help with this.

are you using a moto Droid? -- if so, and if you installed the live wallpaper part of the droidmod rom, then yes, wallpaper should be touch responsive on water papers. There is a setting in the water paper app to have it either responsive to motion (accelerometer) or touch. Make sure you have it set to touch.

Also, although you have live wallpapers installed... the wallpaer isn't "live" til you actually use a live wallpaper -- it doesn't "respond" to regular static images. Hit menu / wallpapers / then select live wallpapers and make sure you're actually using a live wallpaper

are you useing the 2.01 launcher 2.1 or gde its only interactive with the last 2

Try Media Monkey for your PC...it can search for album art.

This is all bootleg stuff. I'm a big fan of old-school ska and roots reggae. This is some obscure stuff from the 1960's and 70's. I tried getting album art from a million different places. It's all bootlegged and copies of copies of copies. No big deal, all of the album covers of this genre look the same, rasta stuff and Jamacain flags.

Thanks for the response. Yes i have a Moto Droid, and yes I have the live wallpapers set. It seems the only live wallpapers that you cant " touch for action " are the nexus wallpaper and the water wallpaper. And I dont see any options for either of those wallpapers when i select them. The others that were with the rom are touch sensitive...ie galaxy and the wavelengths.

Galaxy and wavelength aren't touch sensitive or interactive. The ones that are you said weren't try and use gde with them they will become interactive

I have the live wallpapers and it works well if you have the open home replacement on.never had an issue with that..

If you running the nexus livewallpaper with the 2.01 launcher it will not respond to touch that's all I was saying

I think someone already answered this question, but when I download the smoked glass rom, can I use "DM UPDATER" to load the rom and get it running?

Im so lost when it comes to all of this. Usually I was just try things for myself and learn as I went but Im afraid Im going to cause some irrversible damages to my droid.

Ive done a little searching but not come up with an answer.

I used DroidMod today and I love it but I want to make sure I'm clear on the procedure to return to stock.

Do I just run DMUpdater and select the 2.0.1 stock rom? Will this also flash the normal recovery image back to the device as well as load my nandroid backup? Or do I just need to flash my nandroid backup and I'll be back to stock (minus having to unroot, since I did that step manually)? I'm not clear on if I need my nandroid backup to return to stock or if thats just in the event of catastrophe.

2.0.1 stock rom I believe will UNroot you and bring you back to 2.0.1 out of the box. IF you want to get back to where you where right after your rooted, use your original nandroid backup.

Edit: or update.zip, as DA6 just mentioned.

I don't think so, unless i'm wrong. Whenever I want to go to smoked glass or ultimate droid or whatever, I go into recovery and either do a nandroid restore or install the .tgz (.tar?) file. DM updater I believe will only flash the DM rom.
