Dropped my Nexus 7 on hardwood floor, now experiencing battery life problems

It hit the ground pretty hard and the screen was not responding whatsoever for about 45 seconds, It then rebooted and everything was fine until I started noticing how quickly the battery is draining now. I have a 15 day best buy return policy, should I return it and get a new one or am I just being paranoid?

Just make it look really clean with all the plastic intact and go during the peak...they won't (can't) look twice. Get behind a family with screaming kids waiting....
