Dual camera mode missing

Hi there.

Sorry to butt in....

I saw this about dual camera and read a few posts which have images of all the camera modes like panorama, pro, slow motion etc but when I look in my stock camera app I'm missing quite a few of the camera modes. I only have 9 different modes but some of you have more than 12. Ive just got my note 8 yesterday. Awesome phone btw.

How would I go about getting all the extra modes thay you all have?

Many thanks and sorry again for butting in.

The app everyone is talking about was offered by Samsung. It's not the ones you see in the play store now.
I am aware, Both the app I previously used on my S7 edge and the ones I mentioned from my post were downloaded from the Samsung store, specifically from the camera download option. I never tried anything from Google playstore.
I hold have said Samsung not galaxy to be clear.

Sorry, I meant to write Galaxy Apps store. I thought you were talking about these apps in the Galaxy Apps store.

I downloaded and tried this. Not trolling but as a photographer I cannot see how I would ever use this dual camera mode. Can someone give me an example of when this might be useful?
I haven't used it like this, but it might be nice for showing reactions to something and whatever that something is at the same time. If you know the monster in the haunted house is about to pop out you could catch that and the people you're walking with at the same time maybe.

I don't have Dual Camera on my AT&T N8 either. Has anyone noticed that dual camera used to be a mode where the front facing camera woudl take a pic and insert that pick like a postage stamp on the pic using the rear camera - so you would have one picture. However, the dual camera in my S8+ and S7edge instead takes two separate photographs from each camera instead and that's it.

Finally got Dual Camera to work after installing the APK from Post #71 then rebooting my phone.

After you install the APK from Post #71 , open the camera app, swipe left to see all of the mode options and tap on Dual Camera. You'll then see the rear camera view and a small front facing camera inset (you can tap on small picture to switch views).
Next tap on the icon on the top bar that has 2 cameras and you can select the dual camera filter you want to use.
Tap to take your picture and both pictures Show on one photo.
(I took a picture of my TV and used the front camera to capture part of the remote as an example)

Oh, wow. Thank you so much. I do feel stupid in that I didn't know to click on that to get different filters.. lol thanks so much again for the heads-up!!!

Hello,
I downloaded this version too and it works on my Note 8.
You just need to select the dual capture mode, then click the icon two select within the mode the stamp for example. The stamp mode of the dual capture mode works. There are some submodes other than the stamp that works.
Just try.

Am I missing an obvious press of a button? Should I have the extra options including dual camera that many of you do?

Any help.would be really appreciated.

Many thanks. :)

apkmirror's site has it available. I installed it the other day when I got my phone, along with S-Note and both work.

"Just need to press the download button."

Hey... thanks LOn3N1nga! :)

However... unfortunately there was only 3 of the missing functions I could download. They were.. animated gif, sports shot and rear cam selfie. :(

Oh... I read up the thread a little and saw post #71 and downloaded the dual camrea apk. Thanks AZwldcats! [Sorry I should have read more of the thread]. Theres obviously locations where these extra modes are available from. Is there a specific one or lots? I'm still missing surround shot and beauty face but are there anymore? I'd like them all if possible. :D

Thanks again. :)

Yes, these are the ones tried. After install on my Verizon note 8 I did not get a dual camera icon on my camera. I did not try the paid version but did try the "dual camera galaxy" and "dual camera for galaxy". No joy on either.

Did you do something special to get to show up?
