Dual sim Note9. How to separate WhatsApp contacts?

Hi everyone,

I use this phone personal and for work. My goal is to have my work contacts only the second dedicated WhatsApp (using dual messenger).

When I create a contact in my phone book it auto imports them into both my personal and secondary WhatsApp (after I manually add that contact). While this is great that this contact shows up in my secondary WhatsApp I don't want them in my primary one with my friends in family. When I change my status and picture I rather not have work contacts be able to view this.

Is a workaround "blocking" these work contacts in my personal WhatsApp account? Does that remove their ability to view my status and display picture?

Maybe you could try making a dummy contact entry, and then blocking that in the work version, or vice versa

Two options come to mind.
1:Using knox and secure folder to divide the whole phone between personal and work
2: Separate WhatsApp app and account in secure folder with the second sim setup as default

I don't think it will work. Contacts are stored on their servers and tied to your telephone number. So you have multiple copies of WhatsApp on your phone but will always pull and store your contacts on their servers.
