ok I upgraded my VZW account and have gone through 6 moto phones.. 4 DX2 and 2 D3s all with various issues.. I'm thinking of going the route of HTC.

I am curious if my next replacement should be a Thunderbolt or DInc2..
4g isn't in my area yet but I have read the TB is faster than the DInc2 regarding 3g service.
The DInc2 has GB where the TB has Froyo.. no word yet on GB for TB?
will the TB have some longevity as far as updates go or is the DInc2 a better choice in that department?

Slightly torn between the two models but want something as nice as the X2.. I really don't want a 5th one from VZW at this point.

Thoughts? recommendations?

Dinc2 all the way! Battery much better for Dinc2.... people are having tons of problems with the TBolt. Dinc2 has no 4G, but the 3G speeds seems pretty good. I am waiting a year on a 4G phone until providers work out bugs and overcome battery drain issues.

Cool.. I just heard back form VZW.. their choices for me as a replacement was Droid3, DroidX2, Droid2, DroidPro, or Dinc2.. I was seeing a nasty Moto pattern until the last option.. lol

I was quiet.. the rep said how about we send you a Dinc2 as you have had a lot of problems with the Moto line of phones.. I said.. ok.. fingers crossed.

Good choice you won't regret it. I went through 4 x's and then 2 x2's as replacements. MOTO really messed up their software. The x wasn't to bad but kept rebooting when I used the music player and it wouldn't maintain Bluetooth connection. The x2 was worse after its update to gingerbread with stuck status light on and random ringtones and random reboots.

Requested the Inc2, my first HTC phone and I am impressed. This thing flies compared to the x2 even though it had a dual core and the screen is much nicer even though lower res. No point having dual core when their software is crap and buggy.

I was a big fan of MOTO hardware and loved my x before gingerbread issues and was closely following the bionic but thanks to the Inc2 I am going to pass and wait on more news on the Vigor. Even the Droid 3 with 2.3.4 didn't impress me and I got my parents to take advantage of the bogo and regret it. I get calls all day about why it freezes or does random things. Even my buddy with a photon on Sprint is returning it. His lock screen freezes and his contacts show blank until he pulls the battery among other issues.

I just don't like what I'm seeing from MOTO lately and its a shame cause its nice hardware but my Inc2 is hands down my favorite over any of the MOTO's I have had. It runs smoother and just seams more thought out and more polished all around.

You will love it!!!

I hope so.. My wife just traded her Droid 3 for a thunderbolt and she's happy with it. Of course today's announcement of Google snatching up moto mobility could mean better phones in the near future.. we shall see about that. Hopefully I will have good things to report on Wednesday night after the Dinc2 gets here.
The Dinc2 got the GB update right? If so have you noticed any intermittent connectivity?

Just came from an X2 myself. I find GB on the Inc 2 to be great, no connectivity issues.
Stock is a bit bloated but with root and a bit of tinkering you can freeze junk, or even zap it with another ROM.

I think you'll love HTC. It doesn't feel as "rugged" per-se as a Motorola phone, but it has that polished and professional feel-- classy.

As far as your TB vs. Inc 2 question, if you're not in 4G at this point, I think the Inc 2 was a no-brainer.
Say you get 4G in your area within a year and you're still "tied" to your Inc. Just check up your local craigslist or even the market on here, pick up some 4G handset then sell your Inc off contract. You could be out $150 or so and have a nice 4G handset.
