Is anyone using Dynamic Notifications on the Nexus 5? How is it?

I tried it for a while, and it was fine. For me, the Moto X Active Notification like feature wasn't that useful. I know that some people swear by it. I prefer LED lights for notifications, and use the Lightflow app. I can tell what notifications I have based on the color of the flashing light.

Dynamic Notifications is a good app. I had a Moto X briefly and used the Active Notification feature. Dynamic Notifications is more customizable, as one can choose the color of the notifications, breathing rate, and others. On the N5, I tried the breathing feature, but found it annoying when the screen turned off, there was a brief white flash on the screen, akin to turning off an old tube TV.

I've been using it for a few weeks now and really like it. You've got a fair amount of customization options at your disposal, and it serves a really practical function. I especially like that you can read snippets of text from the screen so I don't have to turn the phone all the way on.

I'd definitely recommend taking it for a spin at the very least.

I love this app. I got the paid version for the feature that turns on the screen when pulling it out of my pocket.

I leave the phone on my desk and can easily see my notifications, and either dismiss or go to them even with a password or pattern lock set up. Couldn't imagine this phone without it!

I didn't even know Dynamic Notifications was an app to the Moto X came around. Been using the app now for a while and really like it

Just remember that since the Nexus 5 uses an LCD display, the battery powers the entire screen, not just what is lit up like the Moto X's AMOLED display. This may have a big impact on battery life.

Does Dynamic Notifications have similar functions like Light Flow or DashNotifier? And is Dynamic even "functional" as your lock screen unless you buy premium?
