e4 moto: volume buttons to turn on the camera?

i've searched the manual but as we know, manuals aren't perfect. So i was wondering if you can use the volume buttons to power on the camera, while it the screen is off, and take a pic or if the only way to take a pic is the main button on the screen?

ideally ive heard of double click or firmly click volume then the camera opens and you can use the volume button to take the pic
