earbuds dont work during call

idk what brand my earbuds are, i bought them at home depot but im using earbuds for my samsung Galaxy prime but during a call the other person cant hear me how do i fix that, my buttom on the earbuds do not have a volume control button but it can pause my music or play it or skip, but during a call it doesn't work right

Is it possible they're not designed for phone calls? Not all Bluetooth devices support all functions.

Many earbuds don't have a microphone, they are made just for listening. Can you confirm it has a microphone? In line controls?

they are not Bluetooth but they do have a mic

Try a known working headset. I usually don't get my phone parts from home depot.

If you still have the packaging, check to see if it's specifically "Made for iPhone." iPhones have a slightly different headphone jack configuration, so headphones made for them often don't work correctly on Android devices.
