Put the SD card into an adapter, then into your PC or notebook. Make a folder on the PC or notebook, and copy everything from the card to that folder. Just as a safety precaution.
When you put the card into the Note 8, you shouldn't be asked to format it, since it's already formatted (and, although I've never owned a BB, I assume that they format cards as FAT32 or exFAT [for cards larger than 32GB] - the same as Samsung phones do).
As for getting the internal data off the BB, since the phone runs BB OS 10, you can use Phone Transfer (
https://transferphone.com/blackberry-contacts-sms-to-android.html ) to transfer contacts, texts, calendar, call logs, photos, music and videos.
(If you have any apps on the SD card they won't run in an Android phone, so don't transfer them. The same goes for Phone transfer.)
