eBuddy battery drain

I'm typically an observer of the boards here, (thank you everyone for all the great info) but I had to share this with everyone...

You might have already experienced this for yourselves but recently, I installed the beta version of Trillian on my Droid Inc and removed each eBuddy. All of a sudden I started experiencing about 50% increase in battery life! I would typically have to charge my phone at around 3 pm for it to last the remainder of the day but with Trillian running instead of eBuddy, my phone now lasts me the entire day without a charge mid-day. I was actually pretty fed up with the phone so I was considering getting the bulky large battery.

I'm a moderate to heavy user making about a dozen or more calls, 50 plus text messages per day, frequently checking email, Outlook calendar synced with Google, surf the web every opportunity, read articles with apps, games while dropping the kids off and of course IM with friends throughout the day.

Anyway, if you are running eBuddy or any other IM app and have short battery life issues, give Trillian a try.

I would like to state that I'm not associated with Trillian in anyway. I'm just so happy that my battery lasts all day and feels like I got a brand new phone.

Can Trillian for Android connect with Facebook chat?

I had the same experience with the same apps, and yes Trillian connects to Facebook.
