Echo on phone calls

Getting a bad echo on my Z2 Force. Have lowered volume. But no idea what to do. Any help appreciated. FYI the phone is in a case but cannot remember the brand. Thanks

Does the echo happen when you take it out of the case? For at least some phones that had an echo, it was an issue with the case.

might be the advanced calling. some people say that sounds like an echo

Thanks! removed the case and it seems fine. Guess a new case is in order. Will explore recommended cases.

Great! I'm not quite sure why some cases do this. It might have to do with the case incorrectly blocking the secondary mic, which might then interfere with the noise cancellation feature.
