Edge App issues - Column vanishing from apps

So preface - I upgraded from a Note4 to a 8+. I was enjoying the Edge app feature as a easy way to keep my home screen clear of clutter and more organized.

Something happen this morning however and a column vanished (see screen shot below) - the app acts as though it still exists. If I try to add new apps it only shows a single column and the apps I had in the now missing column are not listed as optional apps to add.

Has anyone had this problem or know how to resolve it?
Google rendered No help. I've since disabled it for the time being because it was frustrating to no longer have quick access (that first row was all my go to apps :'( ) and now I am unsure of how to even turn the edge feature back on.

I think I am going to try resetting my phone to factory settings. It'll be annoying to jump through the hoops of logging in to the accounts I already have set up but I've not done a whole lot of customizing to it yet. I tried resetting app's with no luck.

Ive had this issu myself. and tried everything i can think of short of resetting phone. did that work for you ?

Oddly enough i got my second column back. I tried removing some apps off the remaining column after i rebooted the phone. And when I went to put a new app back in one of the empty spots the 2nd column appeared again. Not sure if it will work for anyone else but thats what happened with my phone.

Just had this issue too. Looking like, if you have any spots not filled in the far side column, the center side column will disappear! Just add something to the blank spots in the far side column, and you'll get your second column back. Very annoying, as if you were thinking one column was enough, and wanted to move items to the 1 column, if the app was in the, now invisible 2nd column, you CANNOT add it to the single column, as it still sees in in the hidden column, even though you cannot access it! Was driving me mad for a bit.
