Effects of Using the S10 5G on 4G LTE?

If someone were to buy the S10 5G once it becomes available, what would the effects of using it on 4G LTE be in terms of battery life? I know that early 5G will be a battery hog just as early 4G was, so what would be the point of getting an early 5G device now?

Just to say I have a 5g device lol

I don't know if there will be any concerns as far as battery goes because it would drop down to LTE. I wouldn't buy it now regardless.

Bragging rights.

I don't even wanna know how companies like Rogers will set the price. The BS we go through for LTE plans is ridiculous.

Seriously, I'm not complaining about LTE nor wished I had faster options. I'm good.

What's the point of 5G speeds if you don't have the data cap to use it.

I mean, Samsung pretty much owns the Android market share as it is; they've over saturated it with phone after phone for basically every price point. I just don't see the need for the 5G phone, especially when the Note 10 will be out in August. I think they're ridiculous at this point.

Screen size, battery, and charging speed would make me want it, honestly. I'll probably see what the Note 10 offers though since I already have a S10+. If you turn off the 5G radio there should be no hit to your battery life honestly so it would just be an awesome 4G phone. My area won't have 5G for a while, so I don't care about that. It's all the extra stuff that I'd like to have.

The bigger battery and the larger screen would be nice. Not only that, the RAM and storage are the latest generation so it'd be more power efficient.

No real point unless you wanted the big battery.

I want to get the S10 5G ..... Not for the 5G but for the size and specs. This is what the Note 10 will be like imho.
I mean bigger device...6.7 inch display.....more ram...better camera...bigger battery.

Have you considered waiting for the Note10?

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm...satisfied...with my S10+. When I get bored I can use the XS Max or Xr. The S10 5G and Note 10 are gonna be awesome but I just don't need more phone right now....

...who am I kidding?

Bring on the toys.
