Email Attachments Don't Show Up in Exchange ActiveSync (Sony Stock Email Client & Mailwise)

My Zoho ActiveSync Email worked perfectly fine with Galaxy S4 Default Email client. Recently I bought Sony Xperia M and observed a problem with its default email app.

Some Emails have attachments but they aren't visible. They simply don't show up along with the mail body. Viewing or Downloading is something which can only be done once you see an attachment and tap on it.

I tried several other apps from playstore and found that Mailwise is also having same problem (with same emails only). This wasn't the case with TouchDown but it unnecessarily downloaded attachments and images of all my existing emails (thousands of files sizing total 400MB+ and messing up picture gallery) and ate up my data and space.

Tried several other apps too but couldn't go ahead for one reason or other.

PS: This happens with some emails only and in others attachments show up fine, get downloaded/viewed.

Suggestions requested to get rid of this problem OR an email app which

1..Doesn't necessarily shows emails in conversation view
2..Downloads emails from all folders so that I can search among those
3..Doesn't auto download attachments necessarily

Help & suggestions appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Are these for PDF attachments only, or for any kind of attachment? I've been seeing some issues here about PDF attachments not opening correctly.
