Email client that places signature at the very end?

There are two places where a signature can be placed: 1) at the end of an email; 2) somewhere else. Option 1 has been favoured since the birth of email, but nowadays option 2 seems prevalent. I prefer 1.

Samsung's native email client is okay for me, except for one thing. It uses 2.

Now I hate gmail, and find Thunderbird too bulky (I use it on Linux). What other options do I have, when it comes to placing signatures at the very end of an email?

I'm not sure I understand. Signatures are usually automatically put in any new email that is started. But below the first line.

How would they go anywhere else when nothing is there yet.

You are right about new emails. However, a reply is filled with the email replied to, and I would like to have my signature below that.

Okay, so, for an email you relay to... you want your signature to be at the very bottom of the email you're replying to?

But then it's not right after your immediate reply which is above all the other emails - especially if it's a long email chain of 2 to maybe 20 older emails. Thats just not proper email etiquette. I don't know of any email client app that puts the reply signature after all replied emails. People reading your reply may never see the signature because most people don't actually read the replied email if they are already on it themselves. The replied emails below the new email are more for future reference.

More precisely, I expect the body of the email replied to, to be quoted like "John wrote: blablabla". Followed by my response, closed by my signature. It has been like this for as long as I can remember, like 40 years. There is no need to provide the complete thread, because the other side has these available.
