Email not send

Hi Can somebody help me with the email function of the Galaxy 3. Got the phone Friday and has been able to send and receive from my gmail account on the phone but I can only receive on the hotmail account I have. The send messages (including the photos I have send) in the hotmail accont gets stuck in the outbox and it says FAILED in red. I have tried to press Send outgoing messages - but they are not send. I have been through my settings several times .... but I am really not very IT/phone/computer/machine.... "expert". thank you in advance

What are the Send settings that you're currently using?
Did you check Hotmail to ensure that you have all of the required information entered?

Hi GSDer - yes I checked my Send settings - but should I be looking for? There is a outgoing settings function - .... is this the one? Thank you for responding

Depending on what kind of server you're using (POP, etc) you can find all of the settings here: http://email.about.com/od/accessinghotmail/f/Windows_Live_Hotmail_SMTP_Settings.htm

You'll just have to configure the Email app with the appropriate settings as reflected on that page.

thank you for your time .... I changed it all (How to Access Free Windows Live Hotmail via POP in Any Email Program - About Email) ... rechanged it and no change. It will not accept the settings.Wondering if I should delete the account and reinstall. Or get down to 3 and get them to do it for me....
