Email not syncing and widgets not refreshing while sleeping. Z580CA Lollipop 5.0. Has anyone else noticed this?

Email not syncing and widgets not refreshing while sleeping. Z580CA Lollipop 5.0

ASUS email, Gmail, K-Mail do not get push updates while Zenpad 8 is sleeping. Weather widgets also do not update while sleeping. Yes, I have WIFI set to no disconnect during sleep and all notifications boxes have been checked. I have a Nexus 9 6.0 that works fine and a MEMO 7 5.0, all have same apps. Anyone else noticing this?????

I believe I had a similar issue and resolved by changing Power Saver to customized mode.
