Email Ringtone on GS II Skyrocket

Good Morning:

I use RingoPro so I can get different ringtones for my contacts. I'm told it doesn't do anything as far as emails.

So, on the phone;
Under General Preferences in email I have email notifications checked & have a ringtone selected.
Under Gmail Preferences in email I have email notifications checked & have a ringtone selected.

Why am I not hearing the ringtone when I get an email?

Anybody have any ideas?

Do you have one selected for your account specifically?

GMail > Settings > (select your account) > Inbox Sounds

I have a tone there but it just doesn't work.
