I have a Droid 3 that I rooted and quickly unrooted after recieving a message from my employer stating that we will not be allowed to run the company email app if we are rooted.

The memo stated that they will be testing units and deny access to those that are rooted. My question is...how would they know? Is there a way for them, through the installed app on my unit, to detect if I am superuser??

Odds are they can tell. I know that you cannot rent movies on your device if you are rooted so the code to check is definitely out there
