End of June for ICS???

When I spoke with Verizon, the rep said he didn't think it would happen the 12th. FWIW

And the sooner you know that reps know nothing the better. I don't care if they are Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, or any other carrier rep, they all have no clue what their own company is doing.

Not to say the June 12th date is set in stone, or even if that is the start of the Soak test or not... it's getting closer and we will see it when we see it. There is no sense getting worked up over something you do not have any control over.

Its hard to find anyone at vzw that knows when what or where. I'm sure when ICS is here we can start having some fun with our new OS:)

I really think the reps get their info from the same place we do, android sites on the net. Some repeat the rumors they have read others either don't repeat the rumors or don't read the sites period.

If they did actually know you would get the same answer from everyone. When I had all my Nexus troubles I talked to a lot of tier 2 tech reps. One told me maybe the update will fix your problems, it's coming in may I just don't know when. Several days later I was told as far as they know an update for the Nexus wasn't even being planned. Yet another said yea ones coming but who knows when. Pretty obvious they don't know anything official.

I was at a Verizon store two days ago and the rep said he they were almost positive that the ICS update was going to be scrapped. He said they were going to go straight to the next version named "Jellybean".

Stone Cold I'm not questioning you but there is no way I believe a store rep knows more than all the sources we all check on the net daily.

That same rep told me they were scrapping jelly-bean and going straight to iOS 6 :D

That could be true, because that same rep told me they were scrapping android phones all together and selling only apple products.

I think I should just stop reading all the ICS rumors and wait for it to hit my phone.

6/28/12 is my bet and I wouldn't be surprised if big red tried to leverage the update to force us to switch over to the shared data raping plan.

Off topic for this thread, but I welcome the new shared plan. It's going to save me 50 bucks a month that I can put towards my new phone(s) fund.

Yeah... I agree. I think some folks aren't really doing the math... Myself included at first. But after sitting down and seeing what I am paying now... I would only be paying $10 to $20 a month more...BUT that would include both of my daughters getting smartphones. The bad part is that it looks like I would lose my grandfathered unlimited data plan. I was hoping to keep my phone on the unlimited plan and then have my wife and kids switch to the shared data...but that isn't going to happen....:'(
