Enrolled in 8.1 preview but no notification

I'm hopefully someone can she some light.

I enrolled my OG Pixel XL 3 days ago and still have received the notification to install. I have tried check for software update several times. Any ideas what could be going on?

I know you can manually install but did not want to go that route or work to use that method.

It's been a while but mine came down as soon as I enrolled. No, notification that I recall it just started downloading. As I recall it downloaded in two steps and then installed.

So odd. I doubled checked and says the device is enrolled. however, no notification and forcing a software update doesn't come up with anything. it says I'm current with the November security patch for 8.0.

I have a growing suspicion that Google pulled back a bit and is not sending out OTAs for 8.1 as quickly. Maybe they found a few nasty bugs and they're pumping the brakes until they can get that fixed for the beta build 2.

I got 8.1 on my 1st Gen XL the instant I signed up. But I recently got a 2 XL and it's now been several days since I signed up and no notification to be seen... And the only OTA file I've found gives a parse error when I attempted to sideload.

So it's either wait or you have to flash the full factory image manually.

They must have pulled it for the Pixel; I received 8.0 on my 6P on Sept 20 & have also received the Oct update

I'm still waiting to get mine too. I got the Pixel XL 2 today, registered for the beta, and nothing. Been checking all day. Hope it comes soon.

Ok, I purchased a p2xl, enrolled it to the beta. I received the beta promptly. I ended up having to send that back for a replacement, had issues with receiving cell calls and some other things.

Anyways, received my new p2xl. Got it up and running and it updated to the latest public release with Nov security patches. I signed up for the beta again and nothing. I've been waiting the past 3 days for the beta.

I'm wondering if the latest public release has anything to do with not receiving the beta. Has anything received the beta on the latest public release?

First part of paragraph answers why second half happens. I don't think I've come across anyone who took the November 8.0 update and then was able to get the beta OTA.

It finally came in for me last night.

Mine showed last night also. Installed this morning with no problems. Seems to be a little faster, or maybe it's just my imagination.
The settings screen looks nicer.
