I came from the Palm Pre and me and my wife love the Epic 4G!! It is truly a powerhouse of a smartphone and once it gets Froyo 2.2, then there will be no competition.

Honestly? OS-wise, WebOS is better. Yes, I said it. The card multitasking approach is nigh idiot-proof and incredibly intuitive. Their unified email works loads better than the default app (and probably most other email apps) on Android.

i'd say UI-wise, webos is better. overall os... it's not nearly as clear. especially that it doesn't have many api's exposed to developers.

1. Poor market. Create a poor base and no one wants to develop for it. They also came late to the game, and not being open ruins it. Apple can get away with it, Android is Open, Palm is the worst of both worlds.

palm, i think, actually has the best of both worlds when it comes to the market. a closed, curated market to keep the crap out, but the availability of open side loading from outside the market if you want.
