Epic Photography

Holy Hell, that spider is huge! I'd hate to have one of those suckers crawling on me. You live out in the boonies?

Looking at these pictures, I think this phone can easily replace a lot of point and shoot cameras.

It turns out that I drove through Yosemite on the same day that I picked up my Epic, so I stopped and snapped this picture just to try out the camera:

WOW! Tenaya Lake! Do you live along the 395? I love that part of the country

Here is a pic I snapped whilst drivnig

Friggen NASTY looking spider. I think I'd just move. Let it keep the house...

That's a GREAT sky shot booggreg! Did you shoot it in B&W, or edit afterwards?

Hey durhamite, this phone could EASILY replace my need to carry around a point & shoot. My SLR tho... Not so much... ;-)

And here's a picture of a Bee I snapped at lunch. Cropped and sharpened in Picasa.

L O L. I like the spider. Always know when falls coming. Looks good for halloween; never have to decorate. ;)

I was thinking of taking it with me when I move and letting it continue it's breeding cycle there. Haha!

It's funny how great cell phone cameras are these days. I remember back when I got one of those 8mm camcorders with the first digital cameras in it. Don't even think it was a mega pixel and could only upload it through some funky cable, lol. Also remember always waiting for my friend who had a good one to send it to me after he uploaded it.

Now you got great picture and multiple ways of getting it to where you want it. Ah, how times have changed. Then again, the hardware on this phone is better than my first computer! Anyone know if we can run windows 95 on these things? L O L!

A few mushrooms

On my way int o work I noticed a group of mushrooms growing in a flowerbed on the outside of our building. Took these with my new Epic 4g in macro mode.

Enjoy.

Man I wish there was a manual focus app for the Epic!

Everything shot with the Vignette app.. just point & shoot! Auto everything. The cam on this phone rocks!

Panoramic views

Here are my first 3 attempts at using the panoramic settings. Taken at The Margaritaville Hotel, Land Shark Landing Tiki Bar in Pensacola Beach...

Manual focus

there is manual focus, you tap on the thing you want to focus on..

Tapping on the focus area initiates an auto focus on that point, not really manual focus at all.

For instance when shooting macro, and you want to focus on a point that's too close, the auto focus never stops on the right spot, although you'll see what your trying to focus on for a split second, but the auto misses it.

I'd like some fine control. Similar to the Evo's on screen zoom control, but for focus. That would kick ***.
