Epic Photography

I'm actually getting tired of the Evo vs Epic stuff, too. Please. If you have an Evo, or want to fight about it, do so in another thread. This is up for pics taken with the Epic.

On that note... here are my submissions:
I couldn't get the puppy to stop moving!

Ill work on getting better pics.

I hear you on that one. Can't get the dog or the kids to sit still long enough for real good pictures.

I took 8 pictures, those were the only 3 that weren't too blurry. She's only 6 months old and loves bugs. Being in Florida, that means I don't have enough time to take a pic before she's distracted.

Hey Andrew! Yeah Pets and Kids are the hardest to get a clear shot, but that sphinx pose in the grass is a great shot!

Holy crap Raiderep! I hadn't even tried a panoramic shot yet! Gonna do that tomorrow!

First shot

Here is the first photo taken on my Epic while on the drive back from Best Buy. Yes, I stopped the car in a safe spot before snapping the photo, and no, those aren't my tracks going through the field. :D It's kind of at an angle, but I was in a hurry. The sun was setting with beautiful clouds to the west, and to the east were thunderstorms and lightning. Typical Kansas weather.

Great sunset pic. I'm gonna have to drive down to Santa Monica to see if I can get those colors with the sun setting over the ocean...

A couple of pics from the Epic.. resized and slightly sharpened in photoshop. Zero post adjustment to exposure or color.. Both were taken with AUTO settings in the stock camera app. Unlike with an EVO, No need buy some extra app or tweak the camphone like it's a DSLR.. LOL

How do you know that the epic hasa backlit sensor?

I think a large part of it is samsungs camera knowhow coming into play. The features of the gs camera software are unparalleled.

The part number on the camera module when it was torn down. The sensor on it was from omnivision. However, the lens and other things should be from Samsung.

50 off topic posts were deleted from this thread. 8 of those were moved to the Vignette thread in the EVO forum. The mods and OP asked multiple times to get this thread back on topic. The OP started this thread because he wanted everyone to share pictures taken with their Epic. I'm guessing he could care less about the Epic vs. EVO holy war and neither could I. Anyone that engages in further thread crapping in this thread is doing so at the risk of being banned for a minimum of 7 days.

I am consistently surprised by the detail the Epic camera can pull off, but I've yet to find a good app to sharpen pics up with in phone. I end up running them through Picasa just to tighten them up a bit.

Color on that sunset is pretty fantastic...

Here's a pic I tried to edit with Photoshop express, color is a little un-natural...

And here's my first panorama with a pic from my Apartment's roof:

Tenaya Lake

It turns out that I drove through Yosemite on the same day that I picked up my Epic, so I stopped and snapped this picture just to try out the camera:

LOL NICE bike KoukiFC3S!

Fangarr, that's a great shot. This camera is decent enough to print out 5x7 inch prints. I'm pretty impressed...

Hey vader4633, the panorama feature in this thing is one of the best I've ever used, even better than the one in my friend's Sony. I just wish it saved to a higher resolution.
