Yes trust me cobaltgirl, I recently went down this road of numerous reps and customer service to get my Epic fixed when the display took a dump. It ended up after 3 broken refurbs in a row that I finally found a customer service rep that gave me the opportunity to swap devices.. Plus I also had Sprint credit me for the loss of time/service interruptions.. Sure it only came down to like $17 bucks for the two weeks of on and off service but still at this day in age when money is tight and companies are always trying to stick it to the consumer its nice to see a little something in return for us.
I would work on a different rep, store or even ask for retentions department on the phone and try to get straight to a manager to work things out. Just explain plain and simple its not acceptable to have a device that isn't functioning as expected with random shutdowns, reboots, whatever the case is. They wouldn't stand for it so why should you.
Heck during my experience with a horrible rep, she recommended I replace my sdcard with a cheapo $7 one off EBAY to save money and I asked her would you run that cheap, mostlikely used card from EBAY in your device? She said no, I said well then why would you recommend to me a customer to go that route then?
Naturally it went no where but it goes to show that some of these reps can be real jerks and you just have to throw their garbage they shovel right back at them.
Good luck cobaltgirl, I have a feeling your a tough one when you want something bad enough judging from your forum name so lay into em ! Don't back down to their trash and asking for money when you pay for insurance.
