Epic Stuck after Root

I rooted my Epic 4G for the frist time yesterday. I verified that the root was properly installed and used the phone for the remainder of the day with no problem. Before i went to sleep I read that you should back up the ROM thru the ClockWorkMod Manager. Well after i chose the backup rom option, my phone rebooted and got stuck on the initial SAMSUNG screen. Ive dLoaded Odin, the .pit file and the Epic files, but my problem is, is that my Computer WILL NOT recocgnize my phone at all. I've uninstalled and re installed my Samsung driver but still Odin wont recognize my phone. Help!!!!! lol

Have you tried pulling your battery out and leaving it out? Then connect up to Odin and see what happens.

And if that doesn't work try a different cable or usb port or a combination of both

This sounds all too familiar... I reloaded drivers, pulled the batteries and tried close to 20 different cables and all of my ports. I am very interested in the outcome. Hopefully this ends better for you than it did for me.

i had that problem before too... what i did was charged the phone up all night then went into download mode in the morning thru ODIN. ended up working. hope all it needs is a good charge...

With the phone off, hold the 1 button on the keyboard and press the power button.
This will put it into Download mode.

From here you can ODIN a working version of the software on there.
