Epic Versus Evo

Epic is superior in almost every way to me.

The keyboard.
Samsungs integration with their TV's is awesome.
GPU/CPU takes a dump on the Snapdragon
Screen is awesome.
Media Hub

Evo's is a tiny bit thinner / Slab style phone
Cameras are better on the Evo - Although its still a phone camera and debatable at that.
Kickstand?

If your gonna keep a phone for a year, get the one with horsepower!

JMO :)

Evo Or Epic

I have the Evo and I love it. My husband is picking up his Epic today and of course we have been having the debate over which is better. I think both phones are awesome, the Evo however for me has me sold. I love the large screen and although I think there needs to be a better keyboard, I think I will keep my Evo. I do like that the Epic has a keyboard, and the screen is amazing but I am happy having my Evo and maybe borrowing my hubby's Epic once in a while.:p

I was in the market for an Evo but, since they've been out of stock for a while I decided to get an Epic. I was a bit reluctant at first given my past experiences with my InStink, but hopefully Samsung has gotten their act together.

Me personally, I would look long at the Evo because of the bigger screen and miniHDMI connection, but probably would go with the Epic because of the AMOLED and keyboard. Could do without Samsung's not-as-good-as-Sense skin, though.

Ditto. That's basically how I view it, too. Coming from EVO, no way it's worth it. And even with that $50 difference in price makes it something of a close call, but I would probably side with Epic if I were to buy one today.

We'll see where I stand this Christmas season.

I'm on the reservation list for Tuesday. Actually, both my wife and I are both on the list to get Epics. The local Sprint store is also telling me that they should have the Evo in limited, but some, stock over the next couple of weeks.

So, I'm back to trying to choose between the two. I had a Moto Q and bough the Pre when it came out last year. So, I'm used to a physical keyboard.

I have some concerns with the Epic, however. Some reviews (e.g., PC Mag) said they had problems with the buttons at the bottom of the screen. Either they didn't light up or they did not respond. I've also people complain about syncing their Galaxy phones to a Mac and the GPS not working right.

Thoughts? Anybody seeing similar issues being brought up about the Epic?

I have my HTC HERO synced to my Mac no problem since my iCAL and Address book both sync to my gmail account its all there and it just pulled off of google's cloud very handy

I tried the evo for a month when it came out then took it back and picked up the Captivate on ATT. Needless to say, it smacks the evo in every way. Only thing I miss is front cam and flash but the epic has those

Evo

I'm going to have to go with the evo, unless someone is really a big gamer. Then of coarse the hummingbird will really outshine. Then again their is something to be said for a physical keyboard. It's like mercedes vs bmw.....personal choice.

I love my EVO, but I would also like a keyboard. Thinking i can carry both. In holsters. One on each side, like six shooters. You can call me the 4G Cowboy! Okay, I'm done.

I like the statement about Christmas. I want to see what Sprint gets in Windows 7 form. Thats one OS I want to get my grubby hands on. It looks like Microsoft is at it again buying out developers and giving others loads of cash to work primarily on their platform.

EVO or EPIC for a Blackberry User

I'm currently rockin' the Sammy Vibrant on T-MO but am planning on buying my Mum either the EVO or the EPIC for her B-day (she's on Sprint, obviously). She is currently using a Blackberry so I wondered if there were any previous Blackberry users out there who have switched and whether or not the lack of the physical keyboard is an issue or not. It will be a surprise and although we have looked around she has not given me any indication as to a preference as she doesn't know that I plan on getting one of them for her (we looked at many phones and I told her I was considering switching so as not to tip her off). Thoughts?

My contract with Verizon is almost up. I have been debating on wether to give Sprint 4G a chance. debating between the phones, I think having a keyboard wins out. I have a droid2 right now and I don't always use the keyboard but I do about 50% of the time.

Epic has DLNA over HDMI out and has better screen quality.. It isn't overbearing as the EVO and has a very nice slide out keyboard.

The answer is obvious... EPIC!!!

Ditto on the Windows 7. There is to much to choose from. I love my Evo. I also want an Epic. What to do?

That Super AMOLED screen is going to be really beautiful... I can't wait to see one of these! :)

One of the main things with the EVO or Epic question I think would be Samsung's TouchWiz vs. HTC's Sense. Anybody got any comments or opinions?

Well there is a media hub app that you can download that works on the evo so that's not an issue and the epic's cameras are good as well but I love my evo and I'm going to keep it for another year. But I wanna get my wife the epic to replace her HTC Hero.
