New android user here -

I traded my iphone 4 for the S2 sky that i now have - so i say that only to make the point that i dont know the history of this phone, if its been rooted...anything. Which is another question - how can i find out? Former owner didnt mention anything, and there is alot of ATT bloat on here, so im guessing its stock.

Android Version:4.0.4

In any case when i hook up the phone to Kies - It says that:

"Your current version of Firmware is not supported to update firmware via Kies"

Current Firmware version: PDA:LI3/Phone:LI3/CSC:LI3 (ATT)

Thanks -

Well you can't update if there's no updates lol.

Right, but if it wont initialize the phone, then even if there was an update (like JB), then i would think it would be impossible to send information to the device.

When and if a jb update is released by samsung/att, kies will be updated to allow you to update. You can still use kies for the other tasks but most of us don't use it.
