ES Explorer rooted?

If you install ES explorer root explorer is disabled (you can enable it) but did you do a root installation when you do not enable it?

You never install any app as a root. You install every app as a normal user with standard privileges. If you enable root explorer, ES send a request which you can deny or accept - either through SuperSU or phh's Superuser. If you're not rooted, you can't set the explorer as root.
